Cy-Kick CS as well as any other products are not meant to be stored longer than 24 hours once mixed with water. Most sprayer manufacturers warn against storing insecticides inside the sprayer. Storing liquids (even plain water) inside the sprayer can cause the rubber components to deteriorate quickly and make the sprayer inoperable. Only mix exactly what you can use and discard any left over solution outside in the woods or in a place that is not near any bodies of water and thoroughly rinse the sprayer after each use.
Cy-Kick CS can be applied indoors to the cracks and crevices for the treatment of scorpions and other listed pests. It is not labeled to be applied indoors as a broadcast for flea treatments so we recommend that you vacuum daily and apply Ultracide once every two weeks indoors for flea control. A minimum of two indoor applications of Ultracide is required. You may have to perform a third or fourth application depending on the level of fleas. We also recommend treating your pets and the outside of your home.
Any of the fogging solutions, like ULD BP 100 could be used to fog for spiders in a crawl space. Any spiders that are exposed at the time of the fogging will be eliminated, but that is it.
For indoor use, instead of fogging we recommend spraying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick CS into the cracks and crevices around door and window frames, baseboards, under appliances and in places where cables, pipes and wires enter through the walls.
You can also use Cy-Kick CS to spray around the exterior on the foundation, door and window frames, around places where cables, pipes and wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or hole where insects can gain entry. By using the residual insecticide inside and outside you will be eliminating hidden spiders that come out to hunt and also the insects that they are there to prey on. By eliminating the spiders' food source, you will be forcing the spiders to move out and you will be making the structures less desirable to other spiders looking for new hunting grounds. See our Spider Control Guide for more information about controlling spiders.
Yes, Cy-Kick CS can be used for ticks outdoors. You should spray the entire affected area when treating for ticks, but pay extra attention to areas of dense brush, tall grasses, yard debris, and shady areas where animals like to spend time. The use of an IGR like Archer IGR would be a great addition to your treatment. You may want to take a look at our Outdoor/Indoor Flea and Tick Kit as it will have everything you need for a complete tick treatment.
Cy-Kick CS is labeled for use in chicken houses and would be safe around them as well as dogs. Animals should be out of the area during treatment and until everything is dry.
