With most concentrates including Cy kick CS, you want to be sure to use all mixed solution within 24 hours of mixing.
Both Cykick CS and Cyper WP are great products. When sprayed, Cy-Kick CS creates a thick barrier of microcapsules that is impossible for insects to cross without being exposed to a lethal dose of insecticide. Exposed insects pick up microcapsules on their hairs and body triggering a rapid release of the active ingredient, resulting in death. Cy-kick’s active ingredient Cyfluthrin is a pyrethrin, which means it is user-safe, environment friendly, and less likely to cause skin irritation than other active ingredients. Cy-kick CS is virtually odorless, and will not create a visible residue or stain when used according to the recommended label rate. 16 oz.
Cyper WP (same as Demon WP and Cynoff WP) insecticide is a loose white powder that is mixed with water. It can be applied as a crack and crevice and/or spot treatment for residual and contact control of ants, bees, biting flies, boxelder bugs, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, elm leaf beetles, firebrats, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, spiders, ticks, and wasps. This product does have the potential to leave a white residue on dark surfaces.
It is a good idea to keep pets away from the treated areas while it is still wet. Allow about 30 minutes for the Cy-Kick CS to dry, after that it is perfectly safe for pets to re-enter that area.
Cy-Kick CS will kill silverfish and other listed insects but not right away. It is not a contact kill so they will not die as soon as they touch it, but it will start to work on their system and will start getting weaker and dying within a few hours of contact.
Cy-Kick CS, Exciter and Tekko Pro can all be tank mixed and applied together. However Tekko Pro is not labeled for spiders and will not be effective on them. There are no insect growth regulators labeled for spiders.
Cy-Kick CS is normally applied every three months. If you notice a decrease in pest activity during the cooler months, you can increase the time in between applications.
Cy-Kick CS is a great product and will do a great job towards helping you to get rid of roaches. For best results, we also recommend that you use a roach bait gel to help get rid of roaches in places where you cannot spray, along with an insect growth regulator (IGR) which helps stop the roaches breeding cycle. You may want to consider using one of our New York Roach Control Kits, as they contain all of these products together. Pets and people need to be kept out of the area while products are being applied, but can return as soon as all surfaces are fully dry. Please take a moment to look over our article on How to Get Rid of & Kill Roaches for more information on how to do a complete treatment for roaches.
Cy Kick CS is labeled to treat for Centipedes. Dilute at one ouce per gallon water.
No,Cy-Kick CS does not kill roaches on contact. It is a residual product and kills over time. The residual is up to 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors.
If you are looking for a contact kill, we would recommend using 565 PLUS XLO. This does not have a residual so once the product is dry, it is no longer working.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Yes, Cy-Kick CS would kill exposed termites only as long as there are no edible plants in the garden such as vegetables. If there are edible plants in the area, then you could just pour boiling water on the insects. If there is raw wood around the edge of the bed, then you could treat the wood with Boracare or Timbor and then add a water-sealant to protect the wood from termites.
Yes, Cy-Kick is one of the best products that we have to treat for scorpions. We do recommend that you rotate to other products from time to time. You can rotate with Demand CS, which is another great choice. You have to create a wide barrier with it around your home, much more than you would for regular insects as scorpions' exoskeletons are harder to penetrate.
