    Q
Will Cy-Kick CS, Delta Dust, and Fireback be a good combination to treat spiders and scorpions in an old house?
Is there any reason not to use this triple whammy: 1) delta dust into cracks, crevices, 2) cy-kick after delta dust into same various crevices, 3) fireback scorp and spider onto baseboards, closet corners, roof beams, wall corners, etc...
    A
Your treatment plan sounds great. The only other recommendation we would have is that you also treat outdoors around the windows, doors and foundation using the Cy-Kick to help prevent getting the scorpions indoors in the first place.

  • Asked by Connie from Long Beach, Ca

    Q
Does Cy-Kick CS work for booklice inside the home?
    A
The best way to control booklice is by lowering the humidity in the infested areas which in turn will help eliminate the mold and fungus these insects need to survive. Infested furniture and carpeting should be thoroughly steam cleaned and vacuumed. You can spray your furniture with Sterifab to get rid of any lingering insects. Cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames, window frames and other harborage areas can safely be treated with Cy-Kick Aerosol. You can also follow up with a dusting of Cimexa Dust to help eliminate these pests in carpet and in cracks and crevices around the home.  You cannot spray anything on books so for those we recommend you find a way to heat treat them with a device like the Packtite or you can seal them loosely into bins with Nuvan Prostrips.

    Q
I purchased the IGR concentrate as well as the Cy-kick concentrate to treat the problem of oriental roaches?
I purchased the igr concentrate as well as the cy-kik concentrate to treat the problem of oriental cockroaches. i noticed that in the website it says: "We recommend Gentrol IGR Concentrate to be added to your 2 gallon hand sprayer and sprayed right along with your baseboard chemical ( Demand CS, Suspend SC, or Demon WP) to provide excellent control." does this mean that i can add to the cy-kik too? does this mean to apply together at the same time in the same application? what or how would you recommend i apply this? one at a time? whick first? or together? i must add that i only have a one (1) gallon sprayer. thank u in advance for taking time to answer my question.
    A
Yes, You want to mix 1oz Cykick Cs, with 1oz Gentrol in one gallon of water. You then can apply the mixed solution to the cracks, crevices, where insects may be hiding, living and breeding and/or for selected spot application.

  • Asked by Jeannine from Medford, Nj
    07/01/2017
    Q
Does CY-Kick CS kill ticks? How wide a path do I spray outside of fencing to kill them?
    A

Yes, you could use Cy-Kick CS to kill ticks outdoors. You should spray the entire affected area when treating for ticks, but pay extra attention to areas of dense brush, tall grasses, yard debris, and shady areas where animals like to spend time. If you are spraying to create a barrier, then we would recommend treating at least 5-10 feet from the fenceline. You can learn more in our Tick Treatment Guide here.

  • Asked by Steve from Hamilton Ohio
    10/30/2013
    Q
How long does it take for Cy Kick CS to start working for killing roaches?
    A
Cy Kick will start working immediately on the roaches that come into contact with the treated surfaces. It is not a contact kill so they will not die as soon as they touch it, but it will start to work on their system and will start getting weaker and dying within a few hours of contact. Please keep in mind that if the roach infestation is large you will most likely need to use a roach IGR in conjunction with the Cy Kick to completely get rid of the problem. Using just an insecticide will often only knock back part of the roach colony without eliminating it in full. This is because since they do not die instantly after touching the product they still have time to reproduce before death occurs. So without the IGR you can often have a constant cycle of the roaches reproducing just as quickly as you are killing them. Take a look at our Roach Control Kits and our article on How To Get Rid of Roaches.

  • Asked by Steve from Manhattan, Il
    06/13/2016
    Q
Would Cy-Kick CS be the best pesticide for earwigs outside?
I just sprayed Cy-Kick CS at maximum concentrate and the earwigs walk thru it and hang out in it like they are immune. Later that night they are just lounging where I sprayed. Alive and well? Thanks in advance
    A

Cy-Kick CS is labeled for Earwigs and will definitely kill them, you just have to give the product time to work. The product does not kill on contact and since it's a microencapsulated product, it sticks better to surfaces and to the insects' hairs and body. We recommend reading our article Getting Rid of Earwigs for more information.

    Q
What is the rate of application for Cy-Kick CS for mosquito control?
    A

When using Cy-Kick CS you can use between 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. I recommend that you spray all shrubery and vegetation where mosquitoes may rest. Make sure that you spray underneath leaves as well since this is where mosquitoes lay their eggs. If you have anymore questions about mosquito control, please read over our Mosquito Control Page

  • Asked by Denny from Bremen, Ga
    01/12/2017
    Q
Would Cy Kick CS and/or Delta dust be recommended to treat 70+ year old attic for roach and general pest control?
    A

Cy Kick CS would be a good option to treat both indoors and outdoors for general pest control and roaches specifically. For roach control, baiting and sanitation is key. For light to moderate roach control, Advion Roach Bait Gel is a great bait to use for the roaches searching for food and water to take back to the colony. You can read our How to Treat for Roaches Article and learn all the key places to bait for roaches. Cy Kick CS is labeled to be applied as a crack and crevice application inside the home and will leave a 90 day residual. Outdoors, it can be applied as a perimeter spray 2-3ft up and 2-3ft out from the foundation also treating around windows, doors, attic vents, & eaves of the home. Treating outdoors will help control the pests before entering the home.

For long term treatment in undisturbed areas, using a dust in wall voids, such as cracks and crevices, wall voids, around pipes, and entry points will also help to treat those hard to reach areas where insects hide. Delta Dust works well in high moisture areas and will last for up to 8 months in undisturbed areas. You may apply the dust in the same areas where you have applied Cy Kick CS, you just want to allow the liquid time to dry before puffing into the area. You may also, take light plate switches and outlet covers off the walls to access the wall void area.

    Q
Can I use Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker with Cy-Kick CS for whiteflies?
    A

Cy-Kick CS really does not require the use of a surfactant like the Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker, as it is a microencapsulated product that "sticks" to surfaces it is applied to very well on it's own.
