    Q
CyKick SC in a Gilmour #362 hose end sprayer
What amount of concentrate should be placed in the #362 sprayer bottle & where should the sprayer be set at in teaspoons or tablespoons per gallon to achieve a .10% spray rate?
    A
Cy-Kick CS requires 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This is two tablespoons or six teaspoons per gallon of water. It can be set to either if you are putting the right amount of product in the sprayer.

    Q
How long does it take for a scorpion to die once it gets the dried Cy-Kick CS on itself?
Assuming you originally sprayed a 1% mixture?
    A

The amount of time it takes to get rid of scorpions will depend on how severe the problem is. Once they walk though the area, it could take a few days or weeks. There isn't a general time frame.

Getting rid of scorpions requires a combination of both chemical and non-chemical measures. Think of non-chemical measures (such as vacuuming, sanitation, harborage removal, and exclusion) as limiting or removing conditions that contribute to the infestation. These measures are largely preventative but scorpion control cannot be achieved without them. The next step is to come in with the real ammunition, chemical pesticides, that do the job of physically wiping out an infestation. Cy-Kick CS is one of the most popular scorpion control products on the market. Cy-Kick CS insecticide concentrate is mixed with water and sprayed around the outside perimeter of the home for excellent scorpion control. Cy-Kick CS can also be sprayed indoors in select areas (keep indoor spraying to a minimum such as corners, under appliances, behind toilets, under sinks, cracks and crevices, along walls and corners in garages, basements, etc.) Use glue boards in areas of suspected activity to help monitor your progress.

    Q
What is the rate of application for Cy-Kick CS for mosquito control?
    A

When using Cy-Kick CS you can use between 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. I recommend that you spray all shrubery and vegetation where mosquitoes may rest. Make sure that you spray underneath leaves as well since this is where mosquitoes lay their eggs. If you have anymore questions about mosquito control, please read over our Mosquito Control Page

    Q
My neighbor has mosquite squad. They have sprayed with Cy-Kick & Bifen.
My vegetable garden is separated from their property by a chain link fence. Any problem with eating produce from the garden? If so, how long after spraying is it safe?? Thanks.
    A

Cy kick and Bifen cannot be appled to edibles. We would be concerned if there could have beed drifting over the fence onto the veggies. Was it windy when applied? If not, or you do not think drifiting occured there should be no issue consuming veggies.

  • Asked by Harlan from Phoenix, Az

    Q
Will Cy-kick leech down and diminish the effect of Termidor in my trench treatment for termite protection?
I have trenched out and applied Termidor. However, I would like to also have a perimeter protection above ground for various crawlies that seem to occasionally find their way in. If I spray up and out the recommended 1-foot (gravel landscaping) will the Cy-Kick seep down (maybe after a rain) an in to my soil, thus negating the non-repellent affect of my termidor? If this is my goal, would Cy-kick be any better or worse than Talstar? - Phoenix heat.
    A

As long as you have given at least 24-48 hours of dry time for the Termidor after it has been applied to the soil, watering/rain and other general pest control applications around the foundation will not affect the termidor barrier under the soil. Cy-Kick would be the better option over Talstar in your region and will give a little better coverage.

Label says bigger tank use way less of the concentrate . Is this dilution for spraying foundation walls or lawns? This makes no sense

As a perimeter treatment for outdoor control you can mix 4-6 fl oz of Cy-Kick CS per 40 gallons or water for larger tank sizes. Please contact us Mon-Fri from 9am-5pm EST at 1-866-581-7378 if you need further assistance on the matter.

    Q
How fast will the Cy-kick residue kill a bedbug having walked thru it?
I have bedbugs in my place and am considering using this product. I want to know what I can expect from it residually.
    A

The amount of time it takes to kill bed bugs will depend on the stage they are currently in with a product like Cy-Kick CS.  This should be used every 10-14 days until you no longer see activity for 30 days.

Please check out our Bed Bug Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent bed bugs.

    Q
Can I use Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker with Cy-Kick CS for whiteflies?
    A

Cy-Kick CS really does not require the use of a surfactant like the Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker, as it is a microencapsulated product that "sticks" to surfaces it is applied to very well on it's own.

  • Asked by Denny from Bremen, Ga
    01/12/2017
    Q
Would Cy Kick CS and/or Delta dust be recommended to treat 70+ year old attic for roach and general pest control?
    A

Cy Kick CS would be a good option to treat both indoors and outdoors for general pest control and roaches specifically. For roach control, baiting and sanitation is key. For light to moderate roach control, Advion Roach Bait Gel is a great bait to use for the roaches searching for food and water to take back to the colony. You can read our How to Treat for Roaches Article and learn all the key places to bait for roaches. Cy Kick CS is labeled to be applied as a crack and crevice application inside the home and will leave a 90 day residual. Outdoors, it can be applied as a perimeter spray 2-3ft up and 2-3ft out from the foundation also treating around windows, doors, attic vents, & eaves of the home. Treating outdoors will help control the pests before entering the home.

For long term treatment in undisturbed areas, using a dust in wall voids, such as cracks and crevices, wall voids, around pipes, and entry points will also help to treat those hard to reach areas where insects hide. Delta Dust works well in high moisture areas and will last for up to 8 months in undisturbed areas. You may apply the dust in the same areas where you have applied Cy Kick CS, you just want to allow the liquid time to dry before puffing into the area. You may also, take light plate switches and outlet covers off the walls to access the wall void area.

  • Asked by Jeff from Vinton, Va

    Q
How well does Cy-Kick CS work on bedbugs?
I plan to spray my son's bedroom and bed with it and want to make sure it will work.
    A

Cy-Kick CS is labeled for bed bugs, however it should not be the sole product that you use for treatment.  We have put together Bed Bug Kits that include all of the products needed to completely eradicate bed bugs. These kits provide you with all of the professional products necessary to do a complete bed bug treatment in your home or apartment. It is important to treat the many different areas where bed bugs hide. Each product included in the kits has a specific function to help eliminate a bedbug infestation. We do not recommend relying on one product or treatment method since bed bugs may avoid areas treated with certain products, or they may become resistant to certain chemicals.

  • Asked by Paul from Norristown, Pa
    03/18/2017
    Q
My exterminator used Cy-Kick CS and said that it contained.05% Cyfluthrin, but your product indicates that it contains 6.0%. Why such a difference?
    A

You are actually looking at two different pieces of information in this case. Cy Kick CS contains 6% Cyfluthrin per bottle as a concentrate, but the finished percentage of active ingredient once you dilute it into a gallon of water is a 0.5% solution per the product label. The exterminators list the percentage of active ingredient used to signal the use rate on their invoices, not the percentage in the bottle as they are not using it undiluted.

Can I use Cy-Kick in a Actisol Aerosol unit?
I'm not talking about using Foam
    A

When using an Actisol Compact Portable Aerosol Unit, we would not recommend that you use any wettable powders or a microencapsulated product. Cy-kick is a microencapsulated product so we would not recommend using it in your Actisol unit.

I cleaned the area after 24 hours bc i can smell the chemical is it right ir wring?

Cy-Kick CS should not be wiped up after application.  Doing this would remove the product and will defeat the purpose of having applied it.

  • Asked by Scott from St Peters, Mo
    07/09/2018
    Q
How long can I keep unused solution that has been mixed?
When the remaining product sits it develops mold in the sprayer. How do I avoid this?
    A

Cy-Kick CS as well as any other products are not meant to be stored longer than 24 hours once mixed with water. Most sprayer manufacturers warn against storing insecticides inside the sprayer. Storing liquids (even plain water) inside the sprayer can cause the rubber components to deteriorate quickly and make the sprayer inoperable. Only mix exactly what you can use and discard any left over solution outside in the woods or in a place that is not near any bodies of water and thoroughly rinse the sprayer after each use.
