    Q
How long should I wait to apply nematodes to my lawn if I will be applying Cyonara to treat sod webworms?
    A

Most insecticides can be applied at the same time as nematodes.  However, we would suggest waiting 2 weeks after your application of Cyonara 9.7 to use nematodes for safe measure.

    Q
Will Cyonara 9.7 control Asian beetles or kill them? I need something to repel them from the house and pole barns.
    A

While Cyonara 9.7 is not a repelling agent, it will eliminate Asian beetles that come in contact with a treated surface for an adequate amount of time. It is important when making the application that window frames, door frames, soffits, eaves, places where cables, pipes and wires enter the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap that insects can use to gain entry into the structure that are all sprayed with the Cyonara 9.7. Special attention should be paid to southern and western facing walls, as the insects will spend much of their time there soaking up the sun. Treatments should begin in August and continue through November to stop these invasive pests from making their way indoors.

Is Cyonara 9.7 safe for use in a poultry processing plant?
    A
Cyonara 9.7 is labeled for processing facilities, but it is not specifically labeled for poultry processing facilities. We would recommend Talstar P, as it is actually labeled for poultry processing facilities.

  • Asked by Rich from Peoria, Arizona
    08/21/2011
    Q
Primary control is for crickets, scorpions, termintes, spiders.
I have used Cyonara 9.7 for 2 years and have had great success with it. A friend uses Suspend SC with equal success. Can you rate Cyonara 9.7, Suspend SC, Onslaught, Equil Lambda 9.7 and Cy-Kick CS for use indoors and outdoors in Arizona for the listed insects?
    A
Our theory on changing insecticide products is simple: If its working, don't change a thing! All of the products that you have mentioned are synthetic pyrethroids and since they are in the same class of insecticides they will provide very similar results. Cy-Kick CS, Onslaught and Equil Lambda 9.7 are micro-encapsulated and will last a bit longer in outdoor situations. While each of these products are labeled for termites they will only work for termite prevention when they are applied during a termite trenching treatment.

    Q
How safe is Cyonara on exterior vinyl siding - I live in the country and want to control spiders?
spider webs that collect on the house in the summer. Will it leave a residue that would stain the siding? This would be used in our 2nd home in Canada.
    A
Cyonara is a water based product and should not stain any surface that water itself would not stain. Having said that we always recommend you test old siding or old paint for staining before spraying the entire surface.

    A
VECTOR-BAN Plus is for use in automatic misting systems, outdoor band applications, indoor applications, crack & crevice, ULV & space spray, and on listed animals. Cyonara 9.7 should be applied to cracks and crevices in a hand pump sprayer, backpack sprayer or a liquid hose end sprayer outside.

    Q
Controlling flies and fleas but have dogs and cats
I am using Cyonara Lawn and Garden Insect Control" when I spray it, I see nothing dying???? What am I to expect? Mixing to the exact instructions!! :( please advise!!
    A
Cyonara Lawn, Yard, and Garden Spray is not going to offer an instant knockdown of pests, it can take time for them to die.  The same can be said for any concentrated product.  They are more meant to provide a lasting residual that will continue to kill insects after the treatment area has dried.  You do want to be sure to follow the instructions on any product label.

    Q
Would the smell of Cyonara also kill the bed bugs?
If I sprayed it in a room and closed it off and I for some reason didn't spray an infested area, would the smell be enough to kill them?
    A
No, Cyonara 9.7 Insecticide needs to be sprayed arounds the baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and bedsprings and bed frames. It is not labeled to be used on furniture surfaces or mattresses where individuals will be laying or sitting. The smell alone will not kill the bed bugs.

    Q
Does Cyonara 9.7 treat for fleas?
I have Cyonara and want to know if I should expect it to abate fleas inside and/or outside
    A

Cyonara 9.7 will treat for fleas, although we would recommend a different product that also contains an Insect Growth Regulator for indoor treatment. You can use Cyonara 9.7 indoors in cracks and crevices and outdoors. Since you cannot broadcast it over floors, you also want to incorporate a product that can be. You could appy Alpine flea as broadcastPlease see our Flea Treatment Guide for more information about treating for fleas.

    If not, then what does?
    A

Cyonara 9.7 could be used for outdoor flea control, although it is not labeled for broadcasting indoors or for indoor flea control. Our Indoor Flea Kit would be the best choice for treating fleas inside. Please see our Flea Treatment Guide for more information about flea control.

  • Asked by Adam from Wichita Falls, Tx
    10/22/2015
    Q
What is a good repellant we can use for wasps trying to winterize in buildings?
We currently use Demand CS as a repellant for wasp trying to winterize in building. This year we are having problems with the Demand successfully keeping them away. What is a good mixable insecticide repellant we could use in place of Demand CS?
    A

Cyonara 9.7 is a very good product that can be used for wasps. Be sure to spray around areas where you have seen activity. You could also use a dust, such as Delta Dust, in holes where you have seen them. This will make the area uninhabitable to live in.
