    Fantastic Dust

    By Teri on 08/14/2020

We had been combating Acrobat ants on the front porch that were nesting up under the siding. Companies we talked to told us to use attractants which we tried for a month with no help. Gave up on those products and decided to use this Delta dust on the front porch with a duster. Worked like a charm. Dead ants are falling out of the area they had tried to nest in up under the siding.

    Effective solution

    By Lavonne on 04/13/2011

    Verified Purchase

Last year, I noticed tiny weevil-like bugs coming out from under my kitchen cabinet in sink area. My regular exterminator came out and used a dust substance, and they were gone. They came back again this year, and I noticed on the invoice "applied Delta dust", and researched to see where I could buy and treat myself. You have to apply 2-3 times, and then the little creatures disappear.

    Carpenter Bees - NO MORE

    By Darrin on 06/16/2011

    Verified Purchase

Had probably 50 Carpenter Bee holes in my Cedar sided house, bees having a great time, especially when the days got hot. Googled for a solution and found this awesome site www.domyownpestcontrol.com -- purchased Delta Dust and the Centrobulb Duster. Dusted all the holes and anywhere I thought they might like to go. Took ONE DAY, they're ALL GONE. No bees, haven't seen any around the house since. Thanks DMOPC!

    Something worked...

    By Tammy on 10/18/2017

Ok, I'm not one to do reviews....BUT....something worked!!! I live in the city and the neighbors got evicted AND WERE INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!! The landlord took the kitchen cabinets out of the house and slammed them on the ground and roaches went everywhere!!! Long story short, they got into my house!!!!!!!!!! I was freaking out!! My daughter is allergic to them! I honestly don't know what worked because I used temprid sc, fenvastar ecocap, boric acid, diatomaceous earth, delta dust, and gentrol....one or all of those worked!! It was not over night. It took about a month, but it did work.

    Finally free of bed bugs

    By Don on 09/08/2013

    Verified Purchase

We tried dry steam and other non chemical methods, but were not able to completely eradicate the bed bugs. We used Temprid SC and Delta dust together for a one two punch. I mixed the Temprid to the 16ml strength and sprayed the under part of a chair and the base of the bed. I also took the plates off the outlets and switches and used the Delta Dust. It was obvious that this was a necessary part of success. We are now 14 day out and we have not even seen one live bed bug.

    Delta Dust Insecticide

    By Troy on 10/20/2016

Great Product. I had yellow jackets in my patio floor. I vacuumed maybe 200 inside a vacuum cleaner but they were still coming in and out. I bought different types of product to kill them but without spraying the nest directly they just continue to come and go as they pleased. I found this product online and it seemed to do the trick. I applied it in the night and in the morning it looked like a yellow jacket grave yard by my door by the patio. I recommend this product a 100%.

Not as good as Drione Dust for wasp nests

    By Chay on 06/08/2018

I've previously had great success with Drione dust for clearing wasp nests. This time I tried ordering Delta Dust since it's supposed to be water / rain resistant. When applied to wasp nests, it does seem to irritate them in some way (you can see them rubbing like they're trying to clean it off of themselves), but ultimately it does not kill most of them. When I check the nests the next day, the wasps are still there. I switched back to the Drione Dust, and once again the nests are completely clear within a couple hours of application.

    Thank you!

    By Jeremy on 11/18/2013

    Verified Purchase

I had a sizable, unreachable yellow jacket nest behind the cedar shakes next to my front door. Sprays and traps were useless. These buggers were flying out of the hole like tie fighters out of the death star. I Delta Dusted them the night before last just before dark. The next day I saw several dozen slow dust covered yellow jackets fly off. By evening they were few and far between. Today nothing. I win!!! After three months of misery I win!!! Thank you!

    Long wearing

    By Sally on 11/13/2010

    Verified Purchase

I have been using for 2 years now. I live on a barrier island and it is very humid, thus, we have huge water bugs. Since Delta Dust continues to work when wet and doesn't wash away, it is wonderful for around the house and in my flower beds. I also have sprinkled on my water pipes. It stops the bugs dead and has gotten rid of our spiders. I think it is fabulous! I always keep an extra container because I do not want to be without it.

    Worked Better then Expected!!

    By Tonynsue on 09/16/2015

I had yellow jackets going up under my vinyl siding. After a week of trying various home remedies, (found on-line),to no avail, I read about Drione Dust. Pretty expensive, but I had to do something. I called DoMyOwnPestControl and spoke with a knowledgeable young lady about my problem. She explained the difference between Drione and Delta Dust, and with the price difference, I went with Delta Dust. The product arrived in just a few days and although not recommended, I used it in the heat of the day. I used one of those cheap refillable ketchup type bottles, sprayed the area and ran. I noticed less movement within a couple hours, and only a few in and out the next day. I hit the area again and have not had any yellow jackets in over two weeks. Great Product and helpful staff--Thanks

Worked on the 1st try ...

    By Susan on 08/20/2020

We had a very active wasp's nest inside a brick wall. Couldn't miss the hole used as the entry/exit point for the nest due to the "bee-line" of heavy traffic. My husband was spraying them with canned spray, when he literally ran in and asked me if I had any more of that powder I used before on the ground nest. We had Spectracide granules on hand, but he said, no it was more of a powder. I had purchased a very similar 'white powdered dust' product a few years ago. Couldn't remember the name or where it was purchased from, but I do recall that it was pricier than this delta dust. Then I came across this site. Ordered the powder and below applicator. Within a few days the shipment arrived. In the late evening, at dusk, sprayed the delta dust right at and also into the opening. Didn't want to spray a heavy clumping because I did not want to deter the wasps from using the opening (my fear was that they would move further into the wall and somehow end up creating an opening in an interior wall or into the attic. Didn't want to just do a light dusting, like I would along an interior base board either. Ended up with a visible coating around the opening's walls, but no clumps, then I sprayed twice into the opening. Stopped at this point, because I didn't want to prolong my time, and figured I'd apply again a couple of days later. Noticed some slow activity the very next morning. Was unable to keep an eye on it for the remainder of the day, but following, no activity at all. Worked with only 1 application. Glad to have extra dust on hand though just in case we find other nests. Also am planning to spray the perimeter of the attic ... just in case they did move up the wall and because last autumn, we noticed a number of stink bugs up there. Hoping this helps to put an end to that issue too.

This is amazing for Bed Bugs

    By Jade on 03/09/2013

I love this dust. I live in Chicago and I use this as a crack, crevice and perimeter treatment after spaying Fenvastar with Gentrol and this is amazing! The other products worked great for residual kill of the bed bugs, with them lessening after the first treatment...but this helped me the most because it helped me find out where these little nasties were coming from in my bedroom. I live in between 2 adjacent apartments that have both been confirmed as infested (FINALLY-after I took a bed bug on a pin to my landlord) The bed bugs from the apartment on the right were coming in through the front door, and were confirmed, but then I started seeing them coming up my bathroom sink which is connected to the infested apartment on the left (tenant bug bombed). So I sprayed my FenvaStar under the sink and problem solved....or so I thought. So, after I dusted the perimeter, there was a crack in the wall that we shared by the bathroom. You should have seen these bugs running from the crack......so next step is to caulk it to slow the flow of new 6 legged tenants from infested neighbor on the left, but it it wasn't for this dust helping me to find the source, I would have been in bed bug hell forever! Although it was fun watching them run then go into convulsions after hitting the dust! :D Thank you so much again for carrying these products! So much money has been saved because I will have to treat for the remainder of the year and it has also helped to educate my landlords about how to properly treat bedbugs in their buildings(landlords current PCO is LAZY, 5 minute spritz and he's in and out, but they are now aware of that issue and are taking proactive steps so it may get better, they just needed to be educated on how to select a PCO specialized in bed bug removal for large buildings).

    Kills red wasps!

    By Tori on 03/27/2015

    Verified Purchase

I said I would sing praises to the universe if this worked. My only wish for this product is that it worked even faster, but hey 2 days, that's still ok with me. I would even want give it a try to be a distributor for this product here in east Texas. We have horrible red wasps that many people fight constantly and try everything in the book to get rid of these very AGGRESSIVE demons!!!! After they were gone I was finally able to put spray foam insulation in some of the cracks and gaps around the house. One of the nests, I found, was HUGE! I had absolutely no idea of just how bad it really was around here. I was going to take a picture of it but i got so nervous that I just covered it in foam. I pray they stay away but I will be ordering more to keep the area covered. I'm sure they will still come back looking for another place to build their evil breeding nests. And I want my neighbor to try it. Like I said I would be willing to give being a distributor a try, with commission of course.LOL! Thanks and have a great Friday! Sincerely and Wasp free for now,

    Delta Dust 3, Bugs 0

    By Cheryl on 03/23/2015

(Edited version. Use this one, DD.) I bought a one pound bottle in 2007 to deal with a BAD spider problem. I was bitten 30+ times in two years. And yes, I'd called in professional exterminators three times. The last guy professed to specialize in spiders. I took the morning off from work to let him in, then followed him around pointing into corners, moving dressers, lifting both my mattress and box spring so he could saturate between them. That very night I was bitten twice more. We hadn't so much killed them as annoyed them. So, at the end of my tether, and with zero expectation of success, I ordered a bottle of DD. Problem solved. Same result with the Roach crisis of 2010; it only took two treatments. And last week I used the last bit from that old bottle to take care of what I thought were fleas, but were probably bed bugs. (You can tell because I learned online that they bite in a straight line of threes, - very distinctive characteristic.) Time to get a new bottle to deal with my next,"Eek!! What's THAT??!!" moment.

    Worked GREAT!

    By Jennifer on 09/28/2008

The siding on my home is red cedar and apparently it is a favorite treat for CARPENTER BEES. They were making terrible holes in the siding like perfectly round bullet holes, and then the woodpeckers would come along and peck at the wood making long channels so they could reach the carpenter bees behind the wood. It was a mess. My painters filled the wood with BONDO and caulk and wood filler...but that did not stop the bees. Over night they bored right through ALL of the products and the fresh paint. I called three exterminators but everyone told me they would spray and I would have to pay again and again in a few months because you could not kill them with just one spray. I BEG TO DIFFER!  I found Delta Dust and I puffed it into the fresh new active holes that the bees made after painting. Within 24 hours I picked up over thirty dead bees on the ground around my house (I have small dogs and I did not want them eating dead poisoned bees). By 48 hours the count had risen to over SIXTY dead bees... and there are NONE flying around the holes, or siding any more! DELTA DUST IS A MUST for carpenter bees. It worked GREAT!!!!

MUST HAVE FOR WOOD BEES/YELLOW JACKETS/RED WASP

    By Zach on 04/02/2020

I live in a log house, which for some reason, attracts all the flying pests! Last year i had a small red wasp problem. They were nesting in a crack where the log and soffit meet. I combated the issue with the typical wasp spray you can get at any retail store. Yes, it killed the wasp, but it never got to the nest that was hiding in the crack. Fast forward to this year....oh my!! I have an infestation of red wasp and yellow jackets (hornets?). It is unreal...we can't hardly walk outside without being chased by them. I bought everything thing i could find at Lowes and debated on calling a professional. LUCKILY i happened onto this DELTA DUST...i was pretty skeptical at first. I mean, a dust...that kills flying pest...really? At this point i was desperate to try anything. So i ordered the dust with a bulb duster. I waited till night fall and got my ladder to begin dusting the crack and cracks throughout my exterior of home. The next morning...same thing, wasps and yellow jackets everywhere...i was pretty sad. I did read in a previous review it takes a couple days for the dust to work. DAY 2---things are starting to take notice...i still have the flying demons, but not as many....DAY 3,4,5, and so on---GREAT NEWS! The flying demons have basically disappeared by ?. Gone...gone...gone. I have found the remaining and they are nested in my garage. I have no doubt once i dust them they'll be dead too. This stuff is a must have if you want to TERMINATE the source. BUY IT, YOU WONT REGRET IT. We also have lots of wood bees...this dust will kill a wood bee almost on contact. Just find there little holes they are boring into, wait till dark when they are nested, stick your bulb duster in the hole and give it a little puff. DEAD...
