Yes, you can mix Demand CS and an IGR such as Gentrol in the same tank at the same time. You would clean your equipment with water and a tank cleaner, if needed.
Demand CS is not labeled to be used across open carpeted areas. For inside the home, Demand CS is labeled to spray along baseboards, crack and crevices, and under appliances which is great for most insects but not for carpet beetles. Please take a few minutes to read our How to Control Carpet Beetles article for an in depth explanation of how to control this pest. It is very important that the source of the infestation (where the damaging larva is harboring) is discovered and eliminated, not just the visible adult insects you see wandering around. Until you find out what that is and deal with it you will continue to get more of the carpet beetles emerging from hiding.
Unfortunantly, we are not currently set up to ship to Canada. Our apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
Demand CS is labeled for a variety of insects, including Asian Beetles. The key is to treat early enough (early fall) and to apply the product in the right places. Asian beetles enter the structure through cracks and crevices, especially around windows and doors. Be sure to treat these areas thoroughly once a month through November. You should spray Demand CS outdoors around your door frames, window frames, vents, eaves, around the bottom of your foundation, and any other crack or crevice where an insect could gain entry.
Unfortunately, if you are dealing with them in your house right now you will only see limited results. These move into structures to overwinter. They usually squeeze into wall voids, false ceilings, attics and other areas that are inaccessible to people and insecticides. As the heat kicks on in the house, the bugs warm up and start becoming active and emerge from hiding, driving homeowners nuts. Because most folks usually have no idea where the bugs are harboring you can only treat around baseboards, door frames and window frames and hope the insects will emerge where you have sprayed. After they contact the treated areas, it can take several hours for them to die. It is still worth spraying now to get rid of some of the bugs, but you will keep seeing them until spring when they will emerge en masse and leave your home.
First, you need to determine how many gallons of water you will be using. To find out how many gallons of water you need to use you will calculate the square footage of the area to be treated(Dmeand CS recommend 1 gallon of mixed solution 1,000 sq feet). For instance, if you have a 6,000 square foot yard that you plan on treating then you would need to multiply 6 x 0.8 which equals 4.8 – You would then add 4.8 oz of Demand CS to the reservoir. Once you add the desired amount of Demand CS to the reservoir, then you would add water to the line selected (6 gallon line mark on the reservoir). You would then set the dial on the top of the Chapin Hose End Sprayer to 6 gallons. Do not turn water on when adjusting the spray nozzle. Next, select the desired spray pattern and then spray until the reservoir is empty.
Demand CS is a great general pest control and works well for spiders, earwigs, ants, mosquitoes and many others. It should be applied monthly outside and inside quarterly. It would be safe if to apply when the dogs are not present until the surfaces are completely dry.
Demand CS is a residual insecticide that will continue to kill the labeled insects for an extented period of time. However it is not a contact kill product. It can sometimes take a few days before you start to see dead insects after making an application of the product.
Demand CS should be mixed at 6-12 ml per one gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft per the product label, which is 3-6 mL or 0.1 – 0.4 oz per half gallon of water.
Keep in mind that Demand CS and other pyrethroids should not be sprayed over the entire surface of a deck or other hard surface. Keep to perimeter treatments and spot treatments where target insects are found.
No, Demand CS is NOT labeled for applications to mattresses where humans sleep directly for your safety. NyGuard Plus is labeled for ticks and fleas and it can be applied to the mattress.
