First and foremost we recommend addressing any moisture issues in and around your home as springtails tend to nest in areas where there is excess moisture. In conjunction with Demand G, it would be a good idea to use Bifen IT as an indoor crack and crevice treatment and a barrier treatment around the foundation of your home.
Springtails are attracted to the pool for the moisture and there is not anything we carry that can be used in the pool for them. You can use Demand granules or Deltagard granules around the perimeter of your pool to help eliminate this pest before they make into the water. You can spread the granules in a 5 ft - 10 ft band in the soil/grass around the pool. You want will want to use 2-3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for best results. Springtails can be hard to control because they reproduce very quickly, and they thrive in damp, humid areas. You should remove as much mulch, leaf debris and other yard debris as possible to help eliminate harborage areas in your yard.

When using Demand G Granules around wood chips it would be ideal to remove them apply them to the soil and also over the wood chips. If this cannot not be done just make sure to use enough water to get the product down under the wood chips. This product is used in a spreader and does need to be watered in. Typically as long as you are not under/over applying or incorrectly applying an insecticide, resistance is highly unlikely and would take long periods of incorrect applications to occur. If you have not started to see signs of the Demand G Granules efficacy reduce or be ineffective, you could continue to use it. Should you wish to rotate to a different granule insecticide, DeltaGard Granules would be a great choice.
