    Great Stuff

    By Steven on 04/23/2013

I have been using the active ingredient Cypermethrin for almost 5 years as an indoor and outdoor pest control product. It is a great chemical and does wonders to control roaches and ants. The residual effect is nice providing for less applications through the year. It also does not afffect my pets who have shown sensitivity to other pesticides.

    Demon EC (Max)

    By Lance on 06/26/2013

I have used this stuff for over 10 years; beginning in a rental house that had sat empty for over 3 years and was full of all manner of creepy crawlies. One application of Demon (the first time I'd used it) and they all died a quick and horrible death, leaving the house bug free and inhabitable. It even de-bugged a 18 year old mobile home I lived in while my current house was being built. It's rare for a product to work as well as advertised, but Demon is the real deal.

Best I have used so far.

    By Stan on 09/08/2013

Out of all the products I have tried so far Demon Max has proved to be the best. As a landlord of 72 properties, I have tried many products over the years. Demon Max has been very effective and versatile. It has been mixed to do everything I encounter, RoAcHeS, fleas, termites, spiders and ants.

    Demon Max excellent product

    By Anonymous on 06/22/2013

Highly recommend this product. I have been using Terminex services for years and it is quite expensive. I tried Demon Max and it works perfectly. Roaches are dead outside the house and never make it in. I only have to treat the outside perimeter of my home.

Q
I sprayed Demon Max on my carpets, baseboards, etc for dog tick infestation-2wks apart. Why do I still see them

I sprayed every inch of the baseboards to every corner to every crack - 1-2 ft above and down. 1oz to 1 gallon. I sprayed my carpet and everything - why am I still finding brown ticks even though I used this Demon Max?? Does this stuff kill ticks or what?

A
Demon Max is not to be applied on surfaces that come in contact with the skin or broadcast to the open carpeted areas.  It is labeled to kill ticks but for indoor use you are very limited in where you can apply it, as a crack and crevice or spot application to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, and stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas.  How long it takes the ticks to die after they come into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors. It will depend on the maturity of the tick as well as how long they stayed on the treated area, how long it has been since the area was treated and the concentration that was used to treat the area. Demon Max is a great product for tick control - and you used the correct dosage. Typically it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day or so for them to die. It can take several weeks for you to stop seeing ticks indoors because the ticks like to stay hidden which also means they could be staying out of treated areas and eggs may hatch out prolonging the infestation. We recommend doing follow up treatments every two weeks at the highest usage rate of 1 oz of product per gallon of water until you do not see any ticks.
We recommend using an IGR such as Archer IGR in combination with the insecticide that you choose. IGRs (insect growth regulators) will interrupt the growth cycle of juvenile ticks which will stop them from being able to mate and lay eggs

Q
What product is safe to kill fireants in a pasture with beef cattle grazing? Can I use Demon Max?

I need a product to control fireants in a pasture where we graze beef cattle for food. can you recommend a product?

A

Demon Max cannot be used on any pasture area.  Any animals that would be used for slaughter you would use Extinguish Fire Ant Bait instead in pastures.

Q
Was it ok to treat my couch with Demon Max? I used an IGR in the mix as well.

I still have been seeing ticks even though I treat all the baseboards, carpets, corners, crevices, couches, door frames, etc. How effective is this treatment and when should I reapply? Can I over-apply? I need some real help with these dog ticks.

A
Demon Max is not to be applied on the surface of couch or other surface areas where there is contact with the skin. It is only to be applied in cracks and crevices. It can be applied every 3 months for indoor control and 30 day outdoor control. If applied sooner than the recommended time, it could result in over application which may change the results you are seeking. Make sure the property around your home is unattractive to ticks. Because ticks are sensitive to dry conditions and do not thrive in short vegetation, they are seldom a problem in well-maintained lawns. Keep your grass mowed and keep weeds cut. Clean up items that attract rodents which can carry ticks, such as spilled birdseed, and hiding places like old wood piles. If ticks are present in vegetation along the edge of the property, insecticides labeled for control of ticks can be applied to small areas of high weeds that cannot be mowed. Often, one or two applications per season will be adequate to control ticks in these areas. Free-roaming dogs and cats are much more likely to encounter ticks than those that are confined to the home or yard. If ticks are found on pets, contact your veterinarian for information about an appropriate tick treatment. Remove the occasional tick found indoors by vacuuming, seal the vacuum bag and place it in the trash. Owners of kennels or homes infested with the brown dog tick may wish to contact a professional pest control company for assistance.

Q
Can Demon Max be mixed with Talstar/Bifen IT and Cy-Kick CS?

Will it help give Talstar P a longer residual being mixed with an oil base? Will it help to lessen possible resistance by mixing two different insecticides? Should the amount of oz to gal be reduced when mixing the two together in the same tank?

A

Demon Max should not be mixed with Talstar and Cy-Kick CS. Each product should be used alone with water. Mixing insecticides like this could cause the products to be less effective. Cy-Kick CS will give you the longest residual as it is microencapsulated.

Q
What is the ratio of Demon Max for mosquitoes and how does it compare?

how many oz of demon max do you use per gallon of water for residual mosquito control, how long does it leave a risidual? and how does demon compare to bifen it?

A
You should use 1/2 fl oz of Demon Max per gallon of water for mosquito control and you will need to reapply once per month to maintain control. Bifen IT and Demon Max will have very comparable results for mosquito control though Bifen IT is water based and non-staining and is more widely used by professionals for mosquito control.

Q
I have about 2 acres two spray. I use a 20 gallon tank with electric pump. Can I use Demon Max? I have a wild bee hive so want it to be safe.
A

Mavrik would be the only option we have that (once dry) would be safe for bees. We would not recommend Demon Max since it is non selective even when dry, so it could kill the bees.

Q
How long the smell remain after using demon max and what's the best igr to use when treating roaches
A
Demon Max is an oil based product so the residual and smell will last longer than most liquid insecticides. Depending on where you used the product, indoors or outdoors will depend on how long the the odor will stay around. Demon Max is preferrably used outdoors for this reason. The best IGR to use for Roaches indoors is Gentrol IGR. You will mix 1oz per gallon of water in a hand pump sprayer
