Demon WP Insecticide - Questions & Answers

Demon WP will kill Midges that come in contact with it. It cannot be applied as a broadcast, however. Talstar P would be a great product for you. Spraying a product such as Talstar P on window screens, doors, bushes, and plants around your home can act as midge repellant to keep midges away. Citronella candles or oils can act as a midge repellant, but they aren’t as effective when used alone. Talstar P is safe for children and pets after dried. 

Demon WP should NOT be applied in a mister, misting system or fogger only a hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. We do carry products that can be applied for this application.

Demon WP is not labeled for bedbugs. We offer bedbug kits that contain all of the different products you need to eliminate bedbugs and re-treatments should be done every 7-10 days until you do not receive a bite for 30 days.  We also highly recommend using mattress and boxspring encasements to help eliminate bedbug infestations. It is always a good practice to alternate products with different active ingredients. A great alternative to Demon WP would be something like Suspend SC. Suspend SC is a general insecticide that is labeled for various pests, including roaches, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, etc. This can be used indoors and outdoors around the perimeter of your home. We would recommend 30 days between applications of different products.

Demon WP like any other product we sell is very safe as long as you follow the application instructions.  When you mix Demon or any other product on our site with water, the solution is only strong enough to kill small insects.  It would be advised to not apply where your daughter will come in contact with it easily.  First off, 99%  of all bugs come from outside so you should apply most of your product around the outside perimeter of the house where you do not have to worry about your daughter coming close to it.  Inside, you should apply the product in cracks and crevices, underneath and behind appliances, window sills, where pipes go into the walls underneath sinks and behind toilets, etc....places that are hard for your daughter to get to.

Once Demon WP is dry, is it okay to put your belongings back into the cabinets. Depending on how thoroughly you sprayed the cabinets and how much residue is left behind - It is up to you if you want to wipe it out as well before replacing your belongings.

Demon WP is great for all insects, including spiders.  It will do a great job for wolf spiders as well as all other insect control.  You should apply Demon WP once a month for maximum effectiveness. 

You can spray once a month indoors with Demon WP. We recommend you use Demon along with a couple of other products, an insect growth regulator to help halt the breeding cycle and a roach bait gel to eliminate roaches in cabinets, drawers and other hidden areas where spraying is not appropriate, to get rid of the roaches for good. Demon does work great but it cannot be sprayed in many of the places roaches hide and that is where the other products come in.

Demon WP is only labeled to be used as a crack and crevice treatment along the baseboards. If you have the option use a pin stream setting on your sprayer, you should get a direct stream and it would not spray on the carpet areas. It is possible it will leave some white residue on the carpet but we have not heard of any clumping. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
