You are able to apply Demon WP any time of year when you see activity or as a preventative treatment as long as the temperature is not at or below freezing when you are treating. Demon WP can be removed using soap and water from the tub or any bathroom cleaner.
Demon WP is not labeled to treat for bed bugs, therefore we cannot recommend using it. What we do recommend is our Bed Bug Kits. They have a very high success rate and have all of the same professional products that a company would use if you hired one. Our kits also come with full instructions on how to apply the products in the kit. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs.
Yes, Demon WP packets will dissolve when mixed with water in a hand pump sprayer and applied to cracks and crevices listed on the product label. It would help to fill the spray tank 1/2 with water and dissolve a packet of Demon WP and add another 1/2 gallon of water.
Demon WP is only labeled to be used as a crack and crevice treatment indoors and as a perimeter spray outdoors. Spraying rodents as you mentioned with Demon WP is off label, therefore we cannot advise the product being used in such a way.

You can use Demon WP Insecticide and Invict Gold or another cockroach bait gel in the same treatment rooms, however you want to avoid spraying on top of bait placements or in areas where you are going to place baits. Your general rule is to SPRAY LOW and BAIT HIGH. To mix the Demon WP, you should use 1-2 packets per gallon of water, so if you were to use less water, you should still use at least 1/2 gallon of water for 1 packet. You could also choose a ready-to-use product instead of a concentrate so that you do not have to worry about mixing correctly. We sell a new product called Dos Flea and Crawling Insect Spray which contains both an insecticide and an IGR for control of roaches and other listed insects. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more tips and information.
Demon WP will not kill hookworms. Unfortunately there is not a product on the market that is labeled or recommended for hookworms. While some insecticides that are labeled for turf or lawn infesting insect may work, there has not been enough research to add hookworms to the product labels. We recommend thatif you have pets, they be moved out of the contaminated area for at least 6 weeks (during warm spring/summer months, longer during cool winter/fall months) and all feces be removed. Keeping the animals out of the contaminated area for at least 6 weeks should help control the infestation pattern. It is also important to remove feces from the new latrine area to avoid another infestation.
Demon WP Insecticide will create a barrier of treatment around and inside your home to treat and prevent Palmetto Bugs. Be sure to spray eaves, soffits, window frames, door frames, areas where cables, pipes or wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can harbor.
As long as you read and follow the Demon WP product label there should be no health or safety issues for a pregnant woman or anyone else. Only people that are applying the products should be present at the time of the treatment, and all other adults, children and pets should be out of the room. Everyone can re-enter the treated room as soon as the area is dry and the room has been vented, which usually takes about an hour.
For what is known as a clean out, you can start out using 2 packets to 1 gallon of water and then use just 1 packet of Demon WP to each gallon for your follow up spray 21-30 days later.
Once Demon WP has dried, it is safe for your pets to be in the area that was treated.
Demon WP Insecticide is not labeled to treat for Carpet Beetles. We recommend vacuuming often and also using a product like Temprid to treat cracks, crevices, and entry points.
You should try not to mix more than you need of Demon WP Insecticide, but in the event that you do, you will pour any unused portion of solution right up against the foundation of the structure you are treating.
Demon WP will work for sweat bees, and can be applied as a broadcast treatment in lawns.
Demon WP is an insecticide so it would not be helpful in controlling a mice problem. You can look over our Rodent Control Guide though and that will show you the steps and products needed for eliminating mice in different situations.
It is always a good practice to alternate products with different active ingredients. A great alternative to Demon WP would be something like Suspend SC. Suspend SC is a general insecticide that is labeled for various pests, including roaches, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, etc. This can be used indoors and outdoors around the perimeter of your home. We would recommend 30 days between applications of different products.
Demon WP can be applied at 1-2 packets per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft monthly to the exterior and quarterly to the interior crevices. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Cluster Flies for a more successful program.
