    What is the most effective pesticide for hobo or brown recluse spiders?

Both of these products will also kill the other insects in and around your home which will help prevent new spiders from moving in since they will not be able to find a food source.     The best product we have for the larger cockroaches, or American cockroaches, is a product called Demon WP.  Demon WP is a wettable powder that you mix with water in a one gallon sprayer.  Wettable powders are easier for the roaches to pick up on their bodies, and they pack more of a punch which is what you need when treating for larger roaches.  Since the larger roaches come from the outside, you want to concentrate your spray on the outside of the house.  Spray 2 to 3 feet up onto the foundation and 2 to 3 feet out onto the ground.  You can also treat inside the rooms where you have issues.  Demon WP is not only labeled to treat roaches, but almost any other insects you may have a problem with including spiders, ants, silverfish, etc.  You should apply once a month for best results.

    Can I use Suspend SC inside and outside perimeter of my home?
    I have roaches coming in from outside of my house. I want to keep them out and kill them when they do enter. Which product should I use for both?

    What should I use to treat crazy ants out in the yard?
    When I sprayed the Demon WP on the outside, I sprayed about 5 feet from the house and in that area I only see a few ants now. The ants are all in my yard so bad that when you walk in the yard they just run all over your feet so we can't even be in the yard because they drive you crazy. Thank goodness they don't bite. We live on 2-1/2 acres, should I use the Demon WP or the Termidor SC and spray the whole yard? Also how often can I spray to get this under control?

    Termidor SC cannot be sprayed over an entire yard. According to the Termidor SC product label, Termidor can only be applied on and within one foot of the structures foundation. Demon WP can be used to treat the crazy ant infestation in the yard. You should try to treat the colony or nesting site directly. Crazy Ant mounds are not readily visible above ground. Possible nesting sites for Crazy Ants include: soil beneath landscape timbers, logs, mulch firewood and other debris. Crazy Ants may also nest inside rotting wood and tree holes.     Can I apply Demon to the ground after it rains?

    The ground should be dry before you apply Demon WP. If you apply Demon WP to a wet surface it will not have the opprotunity to bond to the surface and could potentially wash away.

    Where to apply Demon WP Indoors?
    What is the best way to use the Demon WP spray indoors? Is a concentrated stream where the baseboard and carpet meet better or is a wider spray area? Also, if it gets on to wood furniture will it deteriorate the finish? Thanks in advance.

    Demon WP should be applied to cracks and crevices, underneath appliances, and in wall voids under sinks and behind toilets where pipes go into the walls.  Demon WP should be applied where bugs hide.  It really does not good to just apply all over baseboards or carpet.  It is better to apply the product around the outside perimeter of the house so bugs do not get inside in the first place, and then just treat the "hot spots" that we listed above inside.  It will not deteriorate wood finishes or any other surface, however it can leave a slight white residue on darker surfaces since it is a wettable powder.

    How long do you have to wait after spraying Demon before it gets wet (if it rains)?
    A
    Demon should be applied when it is dry and should also be applied when it is not going to rain for about 4 hours or longer if possible.  Once an insecticide has sufficient time to dry, usually at least 2 to 3 hours, it is considered ready for rain.

    How long will demon WP last once it's mixed ?

    Demon WP will last for about 30 days or more once applied from a sprayer.  Once mixed, Demon WP should be applied and none kept if your sprayer as a mix.  Since Demon WP is a wettable powder, if you store it in your sprayer for more than a week it will start to settle and can clog the hose or nozzles to your spray device.   You should always only mix what you can apply right then.

    You should spray Demon WP around your door frames, window frames, vents, eaves, around the bottom of your foundation, and any other crack or crevice where an insect could gain entry once a month August-November to stop lady bugs from entering your home.

    How long until the Demon WP spray starts working?
    I've only seen 2 dead roaches 5 hours after spraying Demon WP everywhere. One still alive and well in my dishwasher. They seem to like being in the dishwasher. How long is it supposed to take to kill the roaches? I am super neat and clean everything in sealed tight plastic baggies. All food is in baggies and in the refrigerator and the freezer. I sprayed everywhere even a little in inside wall plug ins. I sprayed in all holes, crevices, any small crack and crevice. How can they survive in my dishwasher? Yes, I sprayed in there too I couldn't stand it anymore. I sprayed under the dishwasher too. Pulled out refrigerator sprayed all over and under the stove. Shouldn't I see a lot of dead roaches by now? I sprayed at 11am today. Whats going on? I used 2 packets for one gallon of water. What's the story here?

    Demon WP does not provide an instant knockdown of insects even if the insects are sprayed directly. You will see results over the next couple of days as the roaches come into contact with the treated areas and receive a lethal dose of the insecticide and they then succumb to the effects of the product. It is very important that you read and follow the product label to avoid contaminating sensitive areas. You can use a high quality roach bait gel such as the Advion Roach Bait Gel to treat areas where spraying would not be appropriate (counter tops, cabinets, drawers). The roaches will consume the bait and then go back to their nesting area and spread the bait which will help eliminate the roaches more quickly than spraying insecticides and IGRs alone. Getting rid of roaches is not a process that only takes only a few hours. Moderate roach infestations can take a few weeks to get rid of and severe infestations can take several months even when using all of the products needed (insecticide, IGR, roach bait) and sanitation is up to par.

    Will Demon WP Insecticide work on the Brown Recluse as well as the Black Widow spider?

    Demon WP will kill just about any type of spider that actually comes into contact with treated areas. Demon WP will also kill most other insects (the spiders food source) which in turn helps stop new spiders from moving in.

    Which product would successfully eliminate American cockroaches?
    We just moved to Texas, and bought our first home. We have these cockroaches INSIDE our home that fly. We were told they are called American cockroaches, but they look like something out of a childhood nightmare. Please recommend a product that we can purchase to use with a sprayer, that would be most effective for central Texas American cockroaches.

    Will Demon WP stain my Pergo Laminate floors?

    Demon will not stain any type of material.  However, since Demon is a powder, after you mix it with water and apply it, there may be a white residue that is left after it dries.  You typically will only see this if you have dark colored flooring and dark baseboards.  The residue can be wiped with a wet, white paper towel very easily.

    Should I wear a mask when spraying Demon WP? If so, what strength?

    You do not need to wear a mask when spraying Demon WP unless you are spraying in a small confined area or an area that has poor ventilation. If you find that you will need a mask for the application we recommend using the Comfo Classic Respirator Mask with P100 Cartridges.

    Can I spray Demon WP inside with my wife being 34 weeks pregnant?

    As long as you read and follow the Demon WP product label there should be no health or safety issues for a pregnant woman or anyone else. Only people that are applying the products should be present at the time of the treatment, and all other adults, children and pets should be out of the room. Everyone can re-enter the treated room as soon as the area is dry and the room has been vented, which usually takes about an hour.

    Does Demon WP have a strong odor?
    Does the Demon WP have a strong lingering smell? Would it be safe to spray in a basement containing pet tortoises? Should they be removed for a couple of days after spraying and then brought back in? Are the fumes harmful to breathe? I have a centipede and spider infestation.

    Demon WP does not have a strong lingering odor. You can safely spray Demon WP indoors for spiders and centipedes (be sure to read and follow the product label). You should remove all animals from the room during the application and they should not return until the product has had a chance to dry.  You should not spray areas that the tortoises have direct contact with, keep the application to cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Some species of animals can be very sensitive to any kind of chemical and if your tortoises fall into this category we recommend you contact your veterinarian for further advice.
