Do I need to add a surfactant to the Bifen XTS water mixture to kill bag worms on arborvitae trees?

Answer:

Bifen XTS can be mixed with a non-ionic surfactant, such as Southern Ag Non-Ionic Surfactant or Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker to maximize efficacy for killing bag worms on arborviate trees. You can apply the product once a month. Keep in mind that once the bagworms have formed their bag, there is little you can do for control other than to physically remove them. Applications should typically start in April and continue monthly through June. Be sure foliage is sprayed thoroughly to the point of runoff to achieve adequate coverage.
