Do I need to clean bare wood in an attic that has a dust coating it before applying Bora-Care?

I want to use Bora Care on bare wood in my attic in our 40 year old home which has a thin layer of fine dust everywhere. Do I need to remove the dust before spraying?

It is best to apply Bora-Care to wood that is free from dust or other debris.
