    Q
I have Rhizosphaera needlecast on my spruce trees. How much Docket DF do I need per gal of water?
I am told to use Docket DF, I have a 26 gallon sprayer.
    A
Docket DF is not labeled to be used on blue spruces and actually states on the label do not use. The only product that we do carry that does not say it cannot be used on blue spruce for needlecast is the Clearys Spectro.  Please be aware that just because it the product can still bleach the trees which is the problem with most products when using on blue spruce.

    Q
Could I use a small spray tank to apply Docket DF?
Some of landscape trees (Cypress) in my backyard are dying with canker (I guess). I'm trying to use this to prevent the disease from spreading to other Cypress trees (I have 7 total). Could I use my small (2 gallon) plastic sprayer with this product? I am not quite sure that the plastic sprayer is strong enough to contact chlorothalonil.
    A
It is perfectly fine to use a normal poly sprayer, 1 or 2 gallon size.  It should have no problem handling this product.  Of course you should measure accordingly to the amount of water you are using and then only mix what you plan on using and do not leave the product in the sprayer over night.  Rinse out the sprayer well when you are done and you should be fine.

    Q
When does Docket DF become rain-fast? (When it's dry? 1 hour? 1 day?) Great product.
    A
As with most insecticides, herbicides and fungicides the product will normally be rain-fast after it has dried on the surface for at least 6 hours. Letting the Docket DF dry before rainfall for at least 24 hours is ideal but always check with the label on each product you are using because some may have longer or shorter periods before water/rain can be applied to the area.

    Q
How do I rid of needle cast on spruce trees?
    A
Docket DF Fungicide is a very good product for needle cast. It is labeled to be used on spruce trees. It is NOT labeled for blue spurce trees. You will make the first application in the spring when the new growth is 1/2 to 2 inches in length. You will make additional applications 3-4 weeks intervals until conditions improve. You will use 2.5 to 5.0 lbs per 100 gallons of water.

    Q
What is the proper mix to control Nigrospora Stolon Rot on st augustine grass??
    A
Although many university gardening websites recommend Docket DF for Nigrospora Stolon Rot,  Docket DF is not actually labeled for Nigrospora Stolon Rot so we do not have mixing instructions for this type of disease. You can contact the Docket DF manufacturer to see if they are able to offer further instructions. You can reach Syngenta by calling 866-796-4368.

    Q
Is the recommended rate of Docket DF (oz./1,000 sq. ft.) by weight or dry measure?
    A

The Docket DT is measures in terms of "liquid" measurements. Even though Docket DF is a granule it would still be measured in terms of "liquid/dry" ounces. In the United States, liquid measurements are not only used for "liquids", but it is also used to measure other "dry" ingredients.

    2 tablespoons = 1 ounces

    3 teaspoons = 1 ounces

    Q
I have spruce spider on my trees. What product do I use?
I have several hundred trees and I have a 26 gal. sprayer
    A
Our most popular product for spider mites is Talstar P. Talstar P is known to have a pretty good miticide effect for these plant infesting pests. When Talstar P is over used the mites are known to build up a resistance to the active ingredient. The other choices would be to use a horticultural oil or an insecticidal soap. Both of these products work best when they make direct contact with the pest and both products are known to cause discoloration to spruce trees. The pro to using one of these products is that spider mites cannot build up a resistance to them.

    Q
Can Docket DF be used in a hose end sprayer? How much product do I use for treating brown patch?
    A
We would not recommend applying Docket DF Fungicide in a hose end sprayer. Using a pump sprayer would offer a more uniformed application. You should measure the amount of product (1.8-5 fluid ounces per 1,000 sq ft for brown patch) to the amount of water necessary for the treated area. Only mix what you plan on using and do not leave the product in the sprayer over night. Rinse out the sprayer well when your are done. Q
I have mold growing on plywood flooring in a new construction on the underside. Will this product work?
Can this product be added to a Disodium Octaborate (DOT) mixture?
    A
Docket DF is a fungicide not a moldicide and will not work for your needs. We do carry Boracare with Moldcare which is meant for use on wood. Boracare with Moldcare is the pest control industry's leading product in the fight against mold. It is the only EPA-registered product that will both kill and prevent mold on wood surfaces. Not only does Bora-care with Mold-care treat mold, but it also acts as a surface protectant, killing all forms of fungi, sanitizing and disinfecting the treated area. In addition, wood treated with Boracare with Moldcare will render wood impervious to termites, powderpost beetles and other wood-destroying insects. You will need to use Mold Clean to get rid of the mold stains prior to using the Boracare with Moldcare.
