Erin from Herndon, Va writes

Does an adjuvant like DyneAmic Surfactant help a fungicide work better?

I've been told adjuvants are vital to making a liquid fungicide work better. Is this true and how can I increase the effectiveness of a granular fungicide like Headway if the above statement is true?

Answer:

Adjuvants and/or surfactants, such as DyneAmic increase absorption, translocation and sticking of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and liquid fertilizers.  While they are not always required, they are suggested to increase the overall effectiveness of certain products. Headway G is a granule applied to the grass directly and then watered in, so you would not mix an adjuvant with it. If your grass is very dry before applying the granules, you can wet the lawn or apply when there is dew on the grass to prevent drift before you water in the granules.
