Change Up does not list sandbur on the product label but is labeled for burweed in Centipede grass (see below for differences between sandbur & burweed).
For burweed, the application rate is 1.25 to 3 pints per acre in 20 to 240 gallons of water per acre (or spot treatment application of 0.46 to 1.10 fl. oz. in 0.5 to 5.5 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet)
Please see the label for full application instructions.
Sandbur vs Burweed
Sandbur is a annual summer weed. Burweed is an annual winter weed. Sandbur will grow from 6 inches up to 2 ft tall. Burweed is smaller and grows to about 2 inches tall. Sandbur is light green/blends in the turfgrasses. Burweed has bright green leaves similar to parsely. Sandbur has a spiny, yellowish bur at the top of the stem. Burweed will latch onto the fur of animals and clothing.
