Broadcast sprayed 5000 sq ft St. Augustine turf w .1/4 gal used 8 gals yesterday; today lawn service came and mowed. Will this hurt the St. Augustine or limit effectiveness of herbicide? Dollarweed, VA buttonweed are my targets. Soil temp is 55 now.
You should not mow 2-3 days before or after the application of MSM Turf Herbicide as mowing stresses the turf which can affect the uptake/absorption of the herbicide. MSM Turf Herbicide is best applied when target weeds are actively growing and healthy, usually best between temperatures above 55 and below 85. Per the product label: Do not apply MSM Turf Herbicide to turf under stress from drought, insects, disease, cold temperatures, high temperatures of above 85.
