Does NyGuard Plus kill bird mites?

I was spraying in our tree and the water and bird nest fell apart and came down all over me. I have been itching since. Will this control the bird mites on my furniture and carpet. Also my neighbor has chickens and all the sudden he is getting rid of his chickens Arghhh
