Does Scott's Halts work on cockleburs?

Answer:

Scotts Halts Crabgrass and Grassy Weed Preventer is not labeled for cockleburs. We are not aware of a pre-emergent that is labeled for this weed.  It is best treated with post emergent herbicides depending on the area you are treating and turfgrass type in the area.
