No, Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate does not work as a repellent for insects. When an insect comes into contact with the treated area or eats it, their nervous system over-excites and quickly leads to paralysis then death. Pyrethrin does not have a long residual and is a very fast-acting, quick kill active ingredient. It is commonly added with other insecticides to give it an extra kick to the residual insecticide.
