Simon from Upland, Ca writes

Does Temprid FX Insecticide have a transfer effect on large ant colonies? Would I be able to stop using Termidor SC and just use the Temprid FX?

Answer:

Temprid FX is a dual mode of action insecticide using Beta Cyfluthrin for quick knockdown and imidacloprid which is a non-repellent, similar to the Fipronil in Termidor SC. Yes, it will transfer throughout colonies of insects that have physical contact.  Terrmidor SC is the best treatment for large ant colonies as it lasts 6 months outside and has the best transfer effect. It, however, cannot be used indoors and is not labelled for fire ants. Temprid FX will last 30-45 days outside as a perimeter treatment but can also be used to treat trails, nests, and drench ant mounds. A good option would be to treat outside with Taurus SC and use the Temprid FX indoors once every 90 days for general pest treatments and/or if you have any ant mounds.
