    What can I use on my turf grass (fescue, blue) and clover lawn to eliminate crab grass?
    Crab grass is taking over my fescue and blue grass and mostly white clover lawn. How can I control the crab grass and leave the rest
    A
    Drive XLR8 would be a great post emergent product to use for crabgrass and clover and many other weeds.

    Do you recommend using Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer without a surfactant?
    A

    When using Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer we recommend using a surfactant, and so does the manufacturer on the product label. They recommend using a methylated seed oil, and our recommendation for that is Prime Source Duo Stick.

    Can Drive XLR8 be used on pasture or Bermudagrass for hay?
    What is the recommendation regarding use of Drive XLR8 on Bermudagrass pasture area or being used as hay crop?

    What is the most effective herbicide for post-emergence (mid-summer) crab grass control?
    We used a pre-emergence herbicide, but we still have crabgrass.

    You did not mention what type of grass that you have, but our most popular crab grass control product by far is Drive XLR8.  Please read the product label for full instructions and to make sure it is compatible with your grass.

    Can I use Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer on my lawn? Are there any temperature restrictions?
    I have a blend of rye grass and Fescue.

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer is labeled for use on rye grass and Fescue lawns to control crabgrass.  It can be used on actively growing weeds when temperatures are between 65-85 degrees.

    Can Drive XLR8 and Propiconazole 14.3 be applied at same time?
    I have some brown patch and crabgrass I need to manage. I purchased both Drive and propiconazole 14.3 for each respective issue. Question is... can I apply the product back to back or even in the same tank?

    Yes, you can mix Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer and Propiconazole 14.3 to apply together as long as they mix in the tank.

    After a Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer application, how many days should I wait before watering my lawn?

    You want to wait at least 24 hours after Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer  to water the lawn. Be sure to wait at least two days to mow the lawn.

    Why should clippings from the first three mowings after application of Drive XLR8 be left on the treated area?
    I normally mulch and use a grass sweeper to pick up the clippings. Clippings go to the dump. What is the benefit/purpose of leaving the clippings on the yard?

    The manufacturer recommends after testing that Drive XLR8 is still effective using the clippings.

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer is not specifically labeled for spurge. We do offer pre and post emergent herbicides that are labeled for spurge that will be effective. Please provide more information on the treatment area and desired turf for a product recommendation. Thank you!

    Is Drive XLR8 a glyphosate or not?

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer does not contain glyphosate. The active ingredient is quinclorac. We do carry non-selective herbicides that contain gyphosate.

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer is not labeled to kill barley or sedge on its own. Per the label, when treating for sedge it is recommended to use an additional herbicide like Basagran T/O Herbicide

      You should mow 3 days prior to applying and wait an additional 3 days after application before mowing again after treating with Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer .

    After I apply the Drive XLR8, how many days can I go without watering the grass?
    I will be home for 10 days after I apply the Drive, then I will be gone for 6 days. Is it ok to not water for a week? Or should I wait to apply the Drive till I come back from my trip? I live in Georgia.

    Drive XLR8 does not require you to water your lawn except for during the application. Be sure to review the Drive XLR8 product label for complete usage instructions.

    How soon can until you can overseed after applying Drive XLR8?

    For seeding, you can use Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer either prior to seeding with Kentucky Bluegrass or 28 days after emergence of the new grass seed.

    Will using Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer kill the crabgrass and not my grass?

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer does kill crabgrass. This product can safely be used on Bermuda grass, Kentucky bluegrass, buffalo grass, fescue, ryegrass, and zoysiagrass. It is not for use on St. Augustine, centipede, bahiagrass, bentgrass or dichondra, or fine fescue (unless the fine fescue is a seed blend).

    Drive XLR8 is labeled for white clover, you want to use a broadcast application of 64 oz of product per acre or 1.45 fl oz per 1000 sq. ft. (0.75 lb ae/A)

    Can I use ChemStik with Drive XLR8 instead of methylated seed oil to enhance its action?

    While the manufacturer recommends ths use of a methylated seed oil (MSO) surfactant with Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer, there is no reason you cannot use a non-ionic surfactant like ChemStik if that is what you have on hand.

    Is there anything equivalent (or better) to Drive XLR8 for sale in CT?
    I'm looking for post emergent control of crabgrass and similar weeds in tall fescue/lawn.

    Quinkill Max contains the same active ingredient in the same amount as Drive XLR8 and can be sold in CT.  It is also labeled for crabgrass and other similar weeds.

    Does XLR8 kill from the plant or the root?
    I cut the lawn completely down to the dirt. Now I want to prevent any growth of crabgrass.

    Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer is taken up through the leaf of the plant and translocated to the root. It is a post-emergent herbicide only.

    What pre-emergence crabgrass control do you recommend for next spring? My lawn is Kentucky bluegrass.

    Pendulum or Hi Yield Crabgrass Granules would be a good choice for you for pre-emergent crabgrass control in Kentucky Bluegrass.
