I have yet to catch anything. But the quality of this trap is absolutely amazing. The strength of the bars is exactly what I was wanting, and I'm hoping to get many years out of this trap.

This trap is The Best one I've found for the price. It's bigger than most and built good. I have three of these now. Simple to bait and to set. A++

I have a very old rusted trap. Needed to catch ground hogs so as not to eat the garden which is fenced in by the way. Caught a grhog but it chewed a hole in it and got out. Repaired the old trap and one got caught and chewed the new wire again to get out. Ordered 2 of these traps. Set one and caught a grhog the next afternoon and it died in the trap. Reset it and caught another the next afternoon and it died in the trap. I recommend this trap because it has the wire plate instead of the solid metal one that animals can bend making the trap not work properly. Also it has a feeding door but we put a clip on it just in case. It is the only trap I found that is most like the old one. I think you will be satisfied with it.

this trap should be constructed of galvanized material. every little nick in the trap starts to rust and i can see it having a short life span. this is my only beef and the trap is sturdy and works great.

Through no fault of the manufacturer or DoMyOwn, the trap was rendered unusable without extensive repairs at some point in the shipping process. DoMyOwn gave me a full refund on the item and didn't require me to return it, so I eventually made time to cobble it into working condition. Since it's been repaired, it has been a very effective live trap. Our raccoons have met their match! The trap and DoMyOwn are held in high esteem here at our place!

Trap received on Friday 7/24/20 and I set it up easily with bait and on Saturday morning a racoon was enclosed when I checked it. The animal was easily relocated and release to another area with no problem. I highly recommend this trap for trapping larger animals humanely and safely. This trap arrived arrived completely assembled and I saved the box as a cover to keep the animal relaxed until the animal is ready to be relocated. A quality item that will address any wild animal issues you might have on your property.

I was worried this wasn't going to be strong and sturdy. An Armadillo will get a little mad once they are inside the trap, but it held up. I am very happy with this purchase.

I stared using this trap as soon as I got it. I have already caught several raccoons. I plan on moving it to a new location and hopefully lower the population more.

Good heavy duty trap, plenty large enough. I had one raccoon giving me problems, caught it the first night with this trap using marshmallows. The raccoon was a large one, I would guess 25-30lbs, but had plenty of room in this trap. I like the way the door releases when the trap is rolled over. Trap was received with hole in side of the manufacturer's box. It was not shipped inside of a second box. Side of trap next to door was slightly bent, preventing the trap door from closing properly. It took me about 3 mins to correct the problem with hammer and block of wood and it was good to go. Also I fastened the bait door shut with a small carabiner clip. DoMyOwn's customer service is top notch as I cancelled two orders prior to ordering this trap, one because I changed my mind and second because the Tomahawk trap that I originally ordered was on backorder from manufacturer and I didn't want to wait. All in all I'm glad I decided to get the Duke 1114 trap. It's well built and should last a long time. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is made in China.
