    Q
What if my dogs eat the grubs after Dylox 6.2 Granules application will it hurt them?
Will this hurt dogs if treated grubs are ingested
    A

Dylox 6.2 Granules shouldn't have any impact on the dogs as the amount of active ingredient on the surface and in the insect is almost insignificant.  Pets should be out of the area during application until dry after watering in, typically after 4-6 hours.

    Q
If both Dylox 6.2 and Bayer Bio-Advanced 24 hour grub control both contain Trichlorfon ( Dylox) which is best
I have 10,000 SQ ft of tall fescue in zone 6 Purdue University say's I can use these products from spring to fall for grub control. Does one have a higher percentage of Dylox, how much of each to treat my lawn, which would you recommend? Thank you
    A

You will need two bags of the Bio Advanced 24 Hour Grub Killer Plus Granules  or one bag of the Dylox 6.2 Granules to cover 10,000 sq ft. The Bayer Bio-Advanced 24 hour grub control is the consumer brand and the Dylox is the professional brand. Both products are produced by Bayer and both will do a great job for you.

Does Dylox 6.2 Granuals harm birds and squirrels?
I have lots of bird and squirrel feeders in my yard and don't want them getting harmed.

    Q
I left some bags of Dylox 6.2 Granules in a light drizzld for a couple of hours. Do I need to apply asap?
    A

Dylox 6.2 Granules should be stored in a dry place, so if the product was left in an area where there was enough moisture to penetrate the bag, then the product may not be useable since moisture releases the active ingredient. We recommend moving the bags to a dry area and inspecting it to determine if it is useable.  You would want to go ahead and apply if grubs are actively feeding

    Q
Since Dylox is a curative product for white grubs when is the best time to apply this in Michigan?
I'm suppose to put down a preventive down in June to prevent next years eggs. .When do I apply Dylox for a curative?
    A

The Dylox 6.2 Granules can be applied anytime you feel its needed since its a contact kill. If you have grubs actively feeding in the lawn and doing damage now, you can put it down now to stop them. Otherwise you may be able to just use your prevention product for control. The application you would do in May/June is for current feeding grubs and those that will feed in July/August this year. While yes this would help reduce the numbers that come up next year, its also going to control the existing ones that feed on the lawn if you have applied the residual product prior to the feeding stages starting this season.

    Q
Is it ok if it rains after application of Dylox 6.2 Granules?
    A

Irrigation is required after the application of Dylox 6.2 Granules. While over 2 inches of rain is quite a bit, as long as there was not a lot of runoff, it may be fine to just do the one application. It is hard to be 100?rtain in this case.

    Q
How soon after an application of Dylox 6.2 Granules can I put down fertilizer?
I need to put down Dylox, Merit, and fertilizer soon. What order should I put them down in, and how far apart? Can I put any of them down together?
    A

There is no wait time to apply a fertilizer after using Dylox 6.2 Granules. Just keep in mind that you need to water in your granule products for them to be effective. Dylox is a fast-acting insecticide that is only active for about 48 hours, so you want to use that when the target insects are active. Merit, however, is systemic, so it will have a longer residual since it is absorbed into the treated grass.

  • Asked by B
    10/20/2019
    Q
After using Dylox 6.2 Granules and watering very well, there was significant increase in above ground activity. Normal?
Does dylox flush them out, or was this a fail?
    A

Grubs are more active in the fall and are closer to the surface, and the watering could have brought them the rest of the way to the surface.  As long as the Dylox 6.2 Granules was applied per labeled rates, then there should not be an issue.  Since now is the time the grubs are mature, you’ll likely need a 2nd application of Dylox 3-4 days after the first for optimal results.
