Ethofumesate 4 SC Select is a selective herbicide that provides both pre- and post-emergence control of many broadleaf weeds and annual grasses. It controls weeds like canarygrass, poa annua, mannagrass, and yellow foxtail. Its mode of action can slow down cellular division, hinder meristem growth, and curb the formation of waxy cuticles. This product has lower use rates while having a high AI concentration. It also works on overseeded bermudagrass and cool-season grasses. It is ideal for lawns, golf courses, parks, and sod farms.

Can this be applied when overseeding in the fall on a Tall Turf Type Fescue Lawn?
Yes, you can use Ethofumesate 4SC Select Selective Herbicide in the fall at the same time as you are overseeding your fescue.

Will be using a backpack sprayer. How much product to use with 3 gallons of water? Does it need a surfactant?
Ethofumesate 4SC Select Selective Herbicide states to use 1.59-3.18 pints per acre or 0.78-1.17 per 1k square feet. In order to determine how much water to use, you will need to calibrate your sprayer. Here is a video that will assist with that. You may also find complete rates for poa annua on page 20 of the label A surfactant is only added when tank mixing with fertilizers.

I'm planning on seeing this spring and want to combine Tenacity (Mesotrione) with Ethofumesate at the time of seeding. I then plan to apply a second application 3-4 weeks after.
No you can not apply Ethofumesate 4SC Select Selective Herbicide at the time of seeding. The label states to wait 6-8 weeks after emergence . Please find complete label instructions here.You can use Tenacity at the time of seeding.
I have a terrible case of POA Annua & POA Trivilias. I would really like to remove this grass weed. Thanks for any advise.
Ethofumesate 4SC Select Selective Herbicide is not labeled to treat Poa Trivialis. Acclaim Extra Herbicide is labeled to control Poa Trivialis. Please see the label for full application instructions and to ensure your turf is tolerant.
