    Q
Can rats build resistance to Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide?
I bought this poison blocks from you about 1 year ago... did a good job, but now I tried again and looks that they are eating this like cheese... will this have a expiration date? or rats are becoming more resistant?
    A

Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide isn't a bait that any rodent should be able to build up a resistance to due to how it affects the rodents body once it consumed it.  It is recommended to rotate baits every 4-6 months if you still need to treat to prevent bait aversion.  It honestly sounds …

    Q
How long does Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide take to attract rats or mice?
Ordered three Protecta EVO Ambush Bait Stations and placed some Fastrac poison in them. I blocked off the hole I found that the rodents were using to get into my walls and attic. My question is how long does it take for the rodents to find the poison? Does it emit a smell to attract them?
    A

Fastrac All-Weather Blox contain food grade attractants in them. Rodents are attracted to the bait as they are looking for food. Fastrac requires the rodents to consume a lesser amount of bait compared to other products to acquire a lethal dose, and once consumed will kill the rodent within 24-48 h…

    Q
What should I do to get rid of the remaining rats while they don't eat Fastrac blox?
It is more than 9 weeks since rats have been found in my house's backyard. They also pass through the roof to the front yard and vice versa. I purchased Fastrac blox bait and deployed two couple of stations in both places. After some days, two of the rats (12-14 cm long) ate the baits and then died less than 48 hours. After that, no rat ate the bait. I have replaced the new baits with the old ones, but it didn't work. After that, I smeared the baits with wheat flour which worked briefly. Just one bait disappeared and the others remained intact. I even powdered one bait put it on a piece of bread and rubbed some cheese on it. They ate just the bread. What should I do to get rid of the remaining rats?
    A

Fastrac All-Weather Blox is an excellent rodenticide that contains proven food attractants, so we do not advise that you add other foods to it. Be sure that you always wear gloves when handling bait and stations since rats are very wary of new things in their environment as well as human scent.

Does Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide cause dehydration in rodents after feeding?
I am worried about a additional damage Ike jawing of wires if they get dehydrated.
    A

No, the Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide does not cause dehydration in rodents. The active ingredient bromethalin poisons the central nervous system, causing the rodent to stop feeding after ingesting the poison, so more rodents can be controlled with less bait.  Please view the full prod

    Q
How are Fastrac All-Weather Blox Rodenticide better than rodent baits containing the same active ingredient that are available at a Big Box Store?
I see the same active ingredient - at the same %. Why do you advise buying 4 pounds of these and have 3/4 of them go bad because I can't use them fast enough?
    A

Fastrac All-Weather Blox is a professional grade rodenticide and can be more effective than consumer brand due to the inert ingredients/attractants they contain.  Due to EPA restrictions it can only be sold in the 4lb pail or it is also in the T1 prebaited stations that contain only 1 block.  O…

    Q
If an owl parent brings one of your poisoned mice withFastrac All-Weather Blox to feed its owlets will they die?
    A

Rats that have eaten the Fastrac All-Weather Blox and then die are supposed to be removed and disposed of if they are found. Animals that eat exposed carcasses will usually have to eat many carcasses before they receive enough bait to have a reaction, but a secondary poisoning is possible. Terad3 B

    Q
Approximately how long should you use a particular rodent bait before switching to another?
Rodents immune systems, over a period of time, gradually become resistant to rodent bait. Currently using Hawk bait with bromadiolone (for the past 6 years). What would be the best chemical types of bait to switch to?
    A

Rodent baits should be rotated every 4-6 months to prevent resistance.  Fastrac or Ditrac would be a good option to change to.

What will attract the rats into the bait station with Fastrac All-Weather Blox? Will putting peanut butter help?

Fastrac All-Weather Blox contain food grade attractants already in them.  You should not add anything else to the blocks or bait stations.  Be sure you’ve removed all competing food sources so that the rodents are forced to consume the blocks.  If there are other food sources around, they will…

    Q
Can Fastrac keep rats from gnawing my car's electrical wires?
I have already had to replace the wiring for my car, and the rats have gone back to gnawing, as evidenced by new droppings. With what may I coat the wires? Does it actually work? For the record, we placed one of the feeding stations, loaded with poison blocks, under the car in an effort to deter them. It doesn't seem to be working.
    A

To protect individual vehicles you may want to consider using T-Rex snap traps beneath the vehicle and resting on the vehicle tires overnight. Tamper-resistant rodent bait stations loaded with bait such as Fastrac Blox will help reduce the level of mice and rats if there are more on the property to…
