I used Contrac blox for a couple of months to deal with a rather large outdoor rat population. That got rid of most of them, but there were still a couple hanging around. I guess they didn't like the Contrac, so I decided to switch to a different bait for a while. I chose the Fastrac, and calculated that it would take about a third of a block to kill a rat. I put out the Fastrac, and a few days later, I saw that in one of the bait stations, each of the two blox had had about a third of it nibbled away. Welp, there they go. Haven't seen a rat since!

Does a very effective job, no, an excellent job, of getting rid of rodents. We use it at locations a good distance from the house, replacing the bait once every quarter or so and have not had any rodent problems since. Use as directed, away from the house and in the available bait stations for a safe, mess free, clean DIY solution.

This is the best rat bait on the market. It is highly effective and because it only takes one bite my bait lasts longer. I have tried many other brands and they don't work as well. I special order Fastrac Blox because the work so well that I am willing to pay a little more to get them.

Great Product

I reviewed this product a few months ago, and I don't see an option to update my existing review. I've been putting both the Fastrac and the Contrac in my bait stations, two blocks of each, to make a little rat buffet. My major rat problem has dwindled to an occasional rat problem, so there hasn't been a whole lot of activity, but I've made some observations over the last few months. The Fastrac consistently gets eaten more than the Contrac, and this evening I actually found the first dead rat I've seen in a while. The anticoagulant-killed rats were often quite messy and bloody, while this rat was pristine, which made for easy cleanup. The only downside to this bait is that there is no antidote, but that shouldn't be a problem if you use secure bait stations and keep your stash where pets and children can't get to it. I have two dogs, and I have yet to have any problems.

I use bait boxes placed along the obvious routes to my garage and seem to have eliminated the mouse problem in the garage. I had a problem with pack rats carrying the bait boxes off, so I drilled a hole in the bottom and staked them down with 10 inch spikes. The fact that the pack rats wanted them seems to indicate that the attractant is effective.

Had mice in our crawl space. I was so irritated at night time listening to them crawling thru the installation plastic that I was ready to sell my house. Bait and traps arrived. Those little mice started chewing away at the bait in 24 hours. It was a great sound to my ears because I knew they would be gone!! Haven't hear from them since! Threw a few blocks in the wood pile and under the deck!!! I would use the bait traps with a lock. We live out in the forest and do not have pets so we were able to do that! Great product!!

Second pail ordered

This is my second order of Fastrack Blox. I now have vegetables in my garden that the rats aren't eating. Last year all my tomatoes were eaten and figs by the rats but not this year. I've also had to stop feeding the birds and squirrels because rats were eating the bird food. I also had to get rid of my two enclosed compost piles because rats were tunneling under and eating all the compost. Between stopping feeding birds getting rid of compost piles and putting out 6 bait stations with Fastrac Blox I think my problem is under control. I have a small yard and now on on my second pail of Fastrac Blox I've never seen anything dead but something is clearly eating it. I used to see rats in the backyard early in morning but I no longer see them.

Most excellent patient, friendly, knowledgeable customer service ever. One of those evil rats built a nest the size of a hemorrhoid donut on top of my air cleaner. Was dead next morning. The eulogy was brief. "Good riddance you piece of s--- !!! " Again, this product kills rats quickly in my situation. 5 acres , lots of mounds 50 to 300 ft from house. They travel up to 200 ft from mound.

This stuff really works, 6 rats the 2nd day, just threw them into places I knew they were running, used about 8 or 10. I will keep this stuff around.

Rodenticides like Final Blox should be used only in tamper-resistant bait stations or in areas that are inaccessible to people or non-target animals, in accordance with product labels. Fastrac Makes Rats Die in Neighbors' Yards

I refill my bait stations once a month, but have yet to see a carcass on my property. The neighbors, who leave pet food out and feed the birds, have been complaining of decomposing rats in their yards. The say the stench is awful. They don't know I have been using Fastrac to solve the problem that THEY have caused. Good riddance.

Deadly

This is the best rat and mouse poison on the market. I've tried them all and this stuff is amazing! I've found mice dead just outside of the bait boxes, and several inside the boxes. One serious note! Use this product VERY carefully around pets and other animals, it's that deadly!!! They used to say if a mouse or rat eat and died from Decon, and then a cat ate the rodent, it could die as well?? I'm not sure that is true, but If it is true, then this product could be very dangerous and cause a lot of collateral damage. Use it very responably.

My neighbor likes putting out bird seeds and the birds make a sufficient mess to provide food for squirrels, rats and mice, etc. Where there is mice, there's foxes. This product is deadly to rid the rats and mice, as I have picked up the carcasses to dispose of them.

Used these around the back yard, by my orange tree where I kept finding hollowed-out oranges. 1st night, all the bait was gone, so I re-loaded. 2nd night, some of the bait was gone. 3rd night everything is still there! Rats have stopped eating the bait... and my oranges! Will keep checking the bait to see if any more rats come back, but it looks like my rat problem is gone!

These blocks effectively control rats, mice, and voles when they are used in well located, multiple bait stations. For Norway Rats, wear gloves; do not disturb the stations for a week. If feeding has occurred, replenish the stations and return them to the exact, same location.

I noticed I had rodent situation and purchased the rat pellets at one of the big box home improvement stores. Well after about 3 weeks I didn't find any dead rats but plenty of droppings and missing bait. I was informed about domyownpestcontrol and purchased the Fastrac. I pulled up all the old bait and pellets set bait traps with the Fastrac and on the 4th day found my first dead rat and have since found 2 additional dead rats. I have since replaced the blocks of Fastrac and have noticed no activity in over a week. So, I'm hoping that my problem has been solved. Great product!
