    Do I need to re-stump the tree to use Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer?
    I cut down a (type unknown) tree 6 days ago. Ready to apply the Fertilome Stump Killer now. Can I apply to the existing stump or has too much time passed and should I cut the stump down some more to get to "live" wood.

    It is best to apply the Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer to a freshly cut stump to get the best results, so it would be good to cut the stump down before using.

    Will Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer work in the fall when trees are dormant ?

    Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer can be used at any time unless the temperatures are freezing. If the product is used as intended, the tree should be cut down and applied to the stump to prevent sprouting with a paint brush or sprayer to completely cover the freshly cut surface. Do not reuse the paint brush. Wrap in several layers of newspaper and discard in the trash.

    How is Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer applied?

    The exact wording on the product label is "To kill Stumps and prevent sprouting, apply the undiluted product with a paint brush or backpack sprayer to completely cover the freshly cut surface. Do not reuse paint brush. Wrap in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash."  Use Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer full strength when using on stumps.
