Root Drench
By Ron on 04/05/2025
Product works great. No more aphids, or tree scale infestations! I have used this product for the past 7 years. Saves me $450 per year VS having 3 trees sprayed. Also Ferti-lome is less than half the price of Bayer product. Easy application. Always apply in early spring when buds begin to swell.
This product works great for white fly and scale and aphids

Excellent product

I have over 30 Norway spruce trees on my property and treated them with this product a couple years ago when a few of them were affected by white pine weevil. My landscaper recommended using imidacloprid and Fertilome was the easiest to use product I found containing that ingredient. As a precaution I treated all of the spruce trees and plan to do so every other year to prevent it from affecting them again.

It Works Great!
By Br on 06/09/2023
I have used this product for five years. If you have aphids, then try some of this when your trees leaf out in Spring. It lasts all season. Unlike sprays, where you have to repeat after rains. I have 350+ trees on my ranch.

Great Insect Protection
By Ted on 06/02/2023
This is the best! I use this for flowering perennials like Hearty Hybuscus plants as they seem susceptible to many insects. I will kill any insect that eats the plant, even the roots. Apply as directed. May have to retreat after a few months but highly effective. Price was about half of local greenhouse price. Don't buy the smallest size, you will want to retreat, at least once per year. Treat early in season for best results.
Restrictions
By Aspentrees on 05/21/2023
Was advised to apply to trees in 1/4 acre yard. Measured trees, bought LOTS of product. BUT if you look down in the fine print on the data sheet, not supposed to apply more than 3.2 gallons per year per acre. So now my neighbor and I have to figure out how to work within the restrictions of

Tree & Shrub Drench works great
By Craig on 10/21/2022
My crepe myrtles seem to get some sort of small aphid looking mites every year that cause the plant to drop leaves - it looks like they're sucking the juices out of them. The instructions say this product can take 1 to many weeks to be pulled up into the plant. But I saw the damage stop and the plant beginning to show life again only a couple days after I applied this annual product. I'm a believer!

Time Will Tell
By Pete on 08/12/2022
I used this product for a soil drench to eliminate white pine weevils in Norway spruce trees. It was pretty easy to determine the proper amount of chemical to use for each tree from the chart provided with the product. I found it easier than trying to figure out the proper mix of some of the other imidacloprid products that were available. I'm giving it 5 stars based on that alone but won't really know if it worked until next summer.
Wonderful Results
By Ben on 07/01/2022
I have been battling aphids on my crepe myrtles for years, with very poor results. I called and spoke to one of your representatives, who recommended the Ferti-lome systemic drench. I applied exactly per directions. Within 10 days the ground was covered with dead aphids, the honeydew had disappeared and the trees looked so much healthier, no more shinny sticky leaves. The drench worked extremely well and I could not be more pleased. An outstanding feature is that it is applied just once a year. I will definitely be a repeat customer for this fine product.

I used this drench to kill Cottonwood Borer larvae.
By Kathy on 05/21/2022
We have some hybrid trees that are part willow. Last year we saw the problem on one tree and treated it and our other part willow trees. We purchased the product from a local business. This year, 2022, the problem tree looks good, but we wanted to be safe so purchased the product from local business and from DoMyOwn. DoMyOwn is less expensive and you can purchase the gallon size. You must get expert advice on when to use the product in your area. You must also purchase the tree trunk spray to be used about 3 months later to keep the borers from laying eggs.

This works well!
By Jennifer on 04/01/2022
My southern trees had green all over the trunk. Within two weeks max, all of the black was gone! I'd give this product 5 stars if it worked for a full year. It works for about 6 months & the directions say to only apply 1x/year max. Otherwise, this product is all of 5 stars!

Kick Oak Gall to the Curb
By Leroy on 10/09/2021
Love the results from the last 7 years of drenching the roots of my oak trees to eliminate gall. Still have quite a few gall balls on the tree but many less than before. Leaves were all falling in the fall because of stress and are now nearly back to normal and no longer deformed and "diseased looking". About 20 bucks a tree pre year is well worth the trouble.

Needed a product to combat the nasty Emerald Ash Borer. At "DoMyoOwn recommendation we will be applying Ferti-lome Tree and Shrub Systemic Drench 2.5 Gallon. We believe that we are "ahead" of this borer, thus keeping our fingers crossed that treatment is effective.
Almost didn't get it through FedEx
By Melanie on 10/01/2021
I'm going to use this product very early next spring to drench a mature birch tree that was infested with tree borer beetles in 2019-2020 and perhaps earlier. Had the tree pruned back, the visibly diseased branches removed last month. The tree had a lot of new growth, so it was worth saving. Again, I can't vouch for the performance of the product until I've used it, but I can say that shipment was held up for almost two weeks at the FedEx depot in Portland, OR. I thought I might not get the spray because it is restricted in some states (but not in Oregon). I put out some tracking notices online and lo, they found it and sent it out in the next couple of days. From there, arrived OK. Seems like my deliveries on things have slowed down because they're being checked through at least twice or maybe the courier is short-handed. Kind of unsettling at times.

Really Works!
By Jack on 07/02/2021
A gem of a product. UNLIKE so many other products on the market, this product actually does what it says it does. IT WORKS! And, it works WELL! Applied it to 3 trees early spring - April. To my surprise, no insect damage whatsoever to these trees which have been ravaged by insects over the years.
Happy customer

This is my second year ordering from this company. Fertilome was recommended to me and it works beautifully as long as you put it down before the trees bloom! Their prices, their customer service and how quickly your order is on the way is phenomenal!!!! Awesome company! So happy I found them!

Treating for Spotted Lantern Fly
By Carolyn on 12/01/2020
I applied Ferti-Lome as a soil drench the 1st week in Nov. since I was still seeing SLF activity at the time. I applied it to my Betula J. & Acer P. before dormancy so there would be uptake by next spring. It must've been effective since soon thereafter I saw no more live ones even though the weather was still warm enough for activity.
It worked!
