    Q
Does Gentrol IGR Concentrate have anything to kill rats?
Unfortunately, we are experiencing rats trying to get into the house. We are looking for a very effective kill and repellent.
    A

Gentrol IGR Concentrate is an Insect Growth Regulator. It is not labeled for rodents. For rodents inside, it is best to use snap traps and glueboards so you can control where they are going to die. You should also seal up all cracks and crevices where rodents may be able to enter the structure. Tamper-resistant bait stations with a rodenticide outside would also help if they are coming and going. We have some guides here that can help as well:

    Q
I just sprayed Gentrol IGR on my floors, how long should I not mop my floors?
    A
Gentrol IGR Concentrate should not be applied across entire floor surfaces.  You are only applying along baseboards and in cracks and crevices down low.  If you have applied all over you should mopped to remove immediately and reapply only as directed on the label.  You can then wait 24 hours to mop but be sure to avoid the areas along where you have applied as you will remove the product otherwise.

    Q
Can I use Gentrol inside a French drain for flies?
    A

Apply Gentrol IGR to areas of fly breeding as directed only. For drains, apply into and around the downspout and catch basin area. Coat these areas thoroughly as fly larvae develop in the scum buildup on the side of drain pipes. Repeat applications at 2 to 4 week intervals depending upon the severity of infestation.
