    Q
What product will kill weeds, vines, and grass along fence line, sheds, and barn?
    A
The best product would likely be a non-selective weed killer such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro. Gly Pho-Sel Pro with 41% Glyphosate is a high quality fast acting systemic total vegetation weed killer. Sprayed on weeds and grasses, Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% starts working fast, within 1-2 hours, and kills weeds and grasses on contact, roots an all.

  • Asked by Vance from Hartsville, Sc

    Q
I've been clearing land what would be the best weed killer?
There are still stumps on the ground and baby gum trees are beginning to grow from those stumps. Is there a weed killer that will treat this?
    A
A mixture of Crossbow and a glyphosate product like Gly Pho-Sel is a great combination.  Crossbow is for heartier, bushes and thorns like blackberries and gum trees.  You can mix a glyphosate product with it to quickly kill broadleaf and grass weeds.  It is a great combination.

  • Asked by J from Fuquay Varina, Nc
    03/27/2018
    Q
What is the best herbicide to kill centipede grass in established Bermuda?
I've experienced an invasion of Centipede in an established Bermuda right of way. Should I use Drive XLR8 or MSMA, understanding that there are restrictions and safety issues with MSMA
    A

Neither Drive nor MSMA are actually labeled to control centipede in bermuda grass.  The best thing to do in your case would be to spot treat with a glyphosate based product such as Gly-Pho-Sel Pro and then replant the bermuda in those areas.

  • Asked by Leslie from Julian, Pa
    04/01/2014
    Q
I have a bare area that had lots of annual grasses (foxtail and Japanese stiltgrass).
This has been a problem area for several years. I'd like to plant a low maintenance now mow lawn there this season. I'm in central Pennsylvania. How do I get rid of the weed seeds and still plant grass?
    A
You can use a roundup type product like our Gly-Pho Sel Pro on any area where the unwanted weeds and grasses are. The GlyPhoSel will break down in the soil within about 1 week after its sprayed on the weeds/grasses and then new seed can be put down at any time after that.

  • Asked by Ed

    Q
I have nimblewill weed in my yard. How do I control it or omit it? What is the best herbicide to use, without killing my other grasses?
    A
Unfortunately, once the nimblewill weeds are up and thriving the only way to kill it is to carefully spot treat with a glyphosate product such as Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro. Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro is a non-selective herbicide which means it will kill most types of vegetation including desirable turfgrasses, so care must be used when applying this product to the nimbelwill weeds. Once you’ve killed off nimblewill patches, you can reseed the bare spots a week or so later or patch with sod. Spray at least a few extra inches around your nimblewill patches to take out any runners.

    Q
What will kill poison ivy without hurting blue rug juniper?
    A

Unfortunately there is not an herbicide available that would remove the poison ivy from around blue rug juniper that would not also potentially harm it.  The best thing for this area is wear gloves and carefully hand pull the poison ivy or you can carefully spot treat with a glyphosate based product such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant, avoiding contact with as much of the juniper as you can.

    Q
I live in Oklahoma....our Bermuda grass is currently dormant. What can I spray to kill unwanted weeds/grasses?
I am a commercial applicator so I will be using this product on customers Bermuda grass as well..
    A
As long as the Bermuda is not starting to green at all you can use a glyphosate type product like GlyPhoSel Pro to kill any existing weeds and grasses that are actively growing.  It will kill anything that it is applied to so should not be sprayed once the grasses start to green up.

    Q
How do I get rid of the bermuda out of a st augustine grass?
    A
Since the plant DNA between Bermuda and St Augustine grasses are so similar, you can not remove one from the other without harming both. The best way to control this is to use a Glyphosate product like Gly-Pho Sel Pro to kill out the spots in your yard that have the Bermuda coming up and reseed in those areas with St Augustine.

    Q
What chemical will control dog fennel in a blackberry orchard?
I have 200 blackberry plants that have been overtaken by dog fennel.
    A

Unfortunately there is not a chemical that we are aware of that would kill the dogfennel and not also kill the blackberry plants.  You could use a glyphosate based product, but care should be taken to not spray the blackberry plants as they could also be killed.
