Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) can only be used only in non bearing vineyards per the product label. Non-bearing fruit and nut crops are plants that will not bear fruit or nuts for at least one year following AGRISEL GRASSOUT MAX HERBICIDE application.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) is designed specifically for killing grassy weeds including fescue in ornamental areas without harming desirable shrubs and roses, it is not for use in lawns at all.
Since poa annua is so closely related to cool seasons grasses, like fescue and ryegrass, there are not any herbicides that can be applied to kill the poa without also harming the fescue and ryegrass. We do have one product called Prograss EC Herbicide, but it is very expensive. We recommend spot treating the poa annua with a glyphosate product and then just reseeding those areas.
Unfortunately, we do not carry any herbicides that are labeled to kill zoysia in a tall fescue lawn. You will either need to spot-treat the unwanted grasses with a glyphosate product like Roundup Quik Pro and reseed. Fusilade II can be used to get rid of Bermuda grass in tall fescue. You will also need to add a nonionic surfactant for best results. Please be advised that Bermuda grass is extremely difficult to control and you will likely need to make several applications. With Fusilade II Herbicide, it is recommended to apply the product in the early morning hours or late evening hours when the temperatures are below 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) will likely kill your grass since it is only safe for ornamentals not for use on turfgrass areas. Image Kills Nutsedge Concentrate & Certainty Herbicide are both labeled to control poa while being safe on Zoysia lawns
After using Grass Out Max you can triple rinse the sprayer or use a spray tank cleaner to ensure no residual is left.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) is not safe to apply over desired grass like Bermuda and Zoysia.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) is not labeled to control nutsedge, it is only for grassy weeds. Please review our Nutsedge products here for alternatives.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) is not labeled to be used bermudagrass turfgrass as it is for controlling it in cool season turfgrasses and other areas. Keep in mind that if the soil temperatures are below 55 degrees a post-emergent may not work. We generally recommend uaing Roundup QuikPRO - 5 x 1.5 oz. packs when Bermuda is completely dormant as it gives the best results even in colder temperatures
Yes, Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) is labeled to be applied around raspberries.
You could potentially mix Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) and another herbicide, however due to the number of restrictions, it is generally easier and more effective to apply such products separately. The Grass Out Max product label indicates that tank mixes of Grass Out Max and broadleaf herbicides may result in reduced grass control. If grass regrowth occurs, an additional application may be necessary.
Grass Out Max is for use on clover grown in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington only, and at rates of 6 - 16 oz per Acre in those states.
Regarding temperatures, post-emergent herbicides will be most effective when the target weeds are young and actively growing.
Always be sure to review both product labels completely and follow the more restrictive label regarding application site, grazing restrictions, pre-harvest intervals, rates, etc.
Yes, Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) can be used around tolerant flowers, ornamentals and shrubs to control crabgrass and other grassy weeds.
Please view the product label for specific application rates and for the full list of Tolerant Flowers/Ornamentals beginning on page 63.
A non ionic surfactant is an adjuvant (or sticking agent) that helps the product it is mixed with to stick to the surface/plant that is sprayed. This helps to increase the effectiveness of the product that it is mixed with. Not all products are labeled to be mixed with a surfactant, so it is important to review the product labels of the items you are using to ensure you are following the instructions for best results.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) recommends using a non ionic surfactant or crop oil concentrate for best results. We do not recommend using Dawn Soap as an alternative as that would be using the products off label, and there is no recommended/instructed amount to even use to see if it would be effective.Grass Out Max can be used on squash, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, okra . Please see the product label for a full list of tolerable vegetables.
While Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) should not have any corrosive effects on metal or surfaces and there is no information on the SDS Sheet, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for specific information on the chemical make up of their product.
