    Q
What is the best time of year to apply Grazon?
    A

Per the product labelGrazonNext HL provides preemergence control of germinating seeds or emerging seedlings of susceptible weeds and re-growth of certain perennial weeds following application.  When to apply depends on your application type, either as a pre-emergent (before seeds germinate) or post emergent application (anytime weeds are actively growing).

You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region or search online for best time to apply in (your area) for weed prevention.  A lot of universities have great articles for this.

  • Asked by Rick from Kingston
    04/17/2018
    Q
What affect will GrazonNext have on pregnant mares?
    A

GrazonNext HL Herbicide does not have any grazing restrictions, so there should be no negative effect on pregnant mares. We recommend removing animals from the treatment area while spraying until the application is dry. You may need to be cautious if there are poisonous plants in the area since a wet application may make these plants more palatable to grazing animals.

    Q
How will Grazon Next HL affect newly planted grass seed?
When should chemical be applied on newly planted grass seed?
    A

You should wait until the new turf is established before using GrazonNext HL Herbicide on newly planted grass seed. Per the product label: During the season of establishment, GrazonNext HL should be applied only after perennial grasses are well established (have developed a good secondary root system and show good vigor). Most perennial grasses are tolerant to GrazonNext HL at this stage of development.
