Chris from Culver City, California writes

Has anyone needed more than four treatments to eradicate fleas?

I'm on my fourth treatment and nowhere near eliminating them. I have followed the label instructions, vacuumed everyday , treated every 2 weeks and just finished my 4th treatment. I still have a serious infestation. How many more treatments do I need so that I can actually sleep in my room again?

Answer:

If and when dealing with a severe infestation, whether you're treating with Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray or any other flea control product, it is possible that you may need to continue treating more than 3 to 4 times. Flea treatments do not work overnight. Usually within the first couple of weeks you should start to see a reduction in the flea population. We recommend a repeat treatment after 14 days to help get rid of any of the stragglers that may have been missed with the first treatment and vacuuming - and discarding the vacuum bag or the contents of the vacuum receptacle. If you have any pets, make sure they are getting their flea treatment as well. Also, if it applies, make sure the yard is being treated as well. We recommend to review our step-by-step guide on How to Get Rid of Fleas.
