I have hard well water, Can AMS Supreme mix with Trimec 992?

Ammonium sulfate assists herbicide with hard water. I use AMS Supreme which has a defoamer and other additives. Can it be mixed with Trimec 992, Is Trimec affected by hard water as other herbicides can be. The label suggests no additives

Answer:

It is NOT recommended to use any type of surfactant including AMS Supreme with Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide. The manufacturer advises that surfactants when combined with this product can damage the leaf tissue of turfgrass. Per the product label, Do not use adjuvants and spray additive tank-mix combinations, unless your experience indicates that the tank mixture will not result in turf injury. If any discoloration or cosmetic effects are objectional  or would be unacceptable then the use of a surfactant would not be recommended. The product label does not mention any issues with hard water.
