I have only seen bed bugs in one room. If I get a steamer here, is this good enough to treat entire house?

What chemicals, if any, do you recommend in addition to the steamer? I want the Steri-Fab, but do I really need the heavy duty stuff? I am by myself, have limited funds and I am looking for the easiest way to do this. I also have 2 animals and 2 fish tanks. Please help. I have ordered the chemicals in kit #3, but I would like return it.

Answer:

Using a high quality steamer such as the Vapamore is great but it should not be relied on as the sole bedbug treatment. Bedbugs hide in many places and they can lay their eggs literally anywhere and you will need to use products that leave a residual behind to be sure that even those hidden bugs will be killed. You should keep and use Bedbug Kit #3 as it contains the products you will need to eliminate these pests. Be sure all animals are out of the room being treated and that they remain out of the area until it is dry. If you do decide to use a steamer (we definitely recommend that you do), you should use the steamer first and then use the insecticides. How to Get Rid of Bedbugs Article Bedbug Guide
