I want to purchase the kit and use the Nuvan strips for shoes and some electronics. After reading so many of your question and answer section, I had more questions before purchase. Once you place the items in a 3 mil bag, after the 2-4 weeks my questions are: 1. How do you get your things out without harming yourself? Obviously you can't just open the bag in your apartment, or you'll inhale the harmful toxin. Do you have to air your stuff outside? If so, how long? 2. Do you have to do something special to your shoes before wearing them so it doesn't touch your skin?
It should be fine to wear shoes that were treated with Nuvan ProStrips. Once you’re ready to take the items out of the bag, please allow the items to air out for a few hours before handling. You do not need to leave items outdoors, but we would recommend letting the items air out in an area that you are not occupying during that time. You may wear gloves to remove the items from the bag so that you are not touching the items directly after being enclosed in the bag.
