Have thick St. Augustine currently have sod worms how many ounces in 2 gallons? Is a surfactant needed?

Have sod worms. Just need how many ounces for 2 gallons. My sod is very thick. Will it need to be watered in after application?

Answer:

The mixing rate of Bifen XTS for sod webworms is 0.07-0.15 fl oz per 1000 square feet in at least 1 gallon of water but can be up to 10 gallons per the product label.  To ensure the best control for sod webworms, postpone watering or mowing for at least 24 hours after application. This can be done every 21 days as needed. For low water volume usage, less than 2 gallons/1000 square feet, addition of a non-ionic or silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) is recommended, as is immediate irrigation of treated area with at least 0.25 inches of water following application to ensure efficacy of sub-surface pests
