    For Spot treatment using Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer in non-crop areas: Use 1 pint in 3 gallons of water or 4 oz. in 3/4 gallon in a hand sprayer. In pastures and range land: Use 3 to 4 oz. in 1 to 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. On Ornamental Turf: Use 16 oz. in 1 to 8 gallons of water per 2,725 sq. ft. or 2 gallons in 15 to 50 gallons per acre. Please review the product label for complete usage instructions.

    Can you replant later in an area where Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer has been applied?

    Per the product label for Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer, it is recommended that you wait until the next growing season to plant anything. For example, if the product was applied in the spring, items can be planted in the fall and vice versa.

    How many ounces of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer do I add to a 30 gallon atv sprayer?
    A

    The mixing ratios will vary according to where you are treating and what you are treating for. According to the Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer product label:  In pastures and range land: Use 3 to 4 oz. in 1 to 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.

    On Ornamental Turf: Use 16 oz. in 1 to 8 gallons of water per 2,725 sq. ft. or 2 gallons in 15 to 50 gallons per acre. 

    DO NOT apply at wind speed greater than 15 mph or temperatures above 90 degrees F. 

    So you will be using roughly 30-50 gallons of water and using about 2 gallons of concentrate per Acre.

    Is Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer the best weed killer to use on centipede grass?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer  is a selective, post-emergent herbicide concentrate which controls dozens of broadleaf weeds and other noxious plants susceptible to its active ingredient. It will not kill grasses such as centipede. What type of weeds are you trying to control, grassy or broadleaf, sedges?

    Can Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer be sprayed on Centipede grass?
    A

    Yes, Hi Yield 2, 4-D likely would harm Centipede.  Hi Yield 2, 4-D is not safe to be used on sensitive grasses such as Zoysia, Centipede and St. Augustine.  If you'd like to give us more information about the weeds you need to treat, we'd be happy to help you find an alternative product to use.

    Will Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer eventually kill off dallisgrass if used on a regular basis?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is a broadleaf weed killer only and will not effect dallisgrass.

    Use 1 gallon of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer 15 gallons of water per acre which would break down to 3.4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft.

    How much if any surfactant should be used for a 1lbs per acre application of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer?

    The product label does not mention the requirement of a surfactant when applying Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer. unless treating specifically for southern wild rose. Per the product label: Adding oil, wetting agent, or other surfactant to the spray may increase effectiveness on weeds but also may reduce selectivity to crops resulting in crop damage.

    I need to control Morning glory along our creek and replant with natives.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer can be applied to and near the following areas: Lawns Ponds, Drainage Ditchbanks, Pastures, Rangelands, Golf Courses, Cemeteries and Parks. Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is labeled for morningglory and should be applied when the weeds are actively growing and healthy.  It should not be applied when the weather is cooling down and growth is dormant.

    Is Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer harmful to pets who eat grass after the application has dried properly?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is pet safe if used as directed. It should be applied when pets are not present. Pets can return to the treated area and safely resume normal activities once all surfaces are completely dry.

    If it rains after a couple of hours how long before I can reapply Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is rainfast 4-6 hours after application but is best applied when rain is not expected within 24 hours of application.  You are limited to 2 applications per year with 30 days between applications.

    Will 2,4-D kill wild yellow turnip plants? If so what is the mixture ratio?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is not labeled for wild yellow turnip plants. We do offer Pature Pro which is labeled for Wild Turnip.
