How do I eradicate bed bugs using non-toxic methods?

DE and heat have been suggested. does lavender repel them? have been using "on contact" spray.

Answer:

We would recommend one of our Bed Bug Control kits.  Which kit you choose depends on the number of rooms you need to treat. We do have an All Natural Bed Bug Kit which contains EcoVia EC, a botanical insecticide concentrate, plus CimeXa Insecticide Dust, and a hand duster to apply the dust. We do not carry any products that use lavender for bed bug control. Heat treatments using a steamer or other direct heat devices can be an excellent tool for part of treatment, although we would still recommend following up with residual insecticides like those in the kit. We would also recommend using Mattress and Box Spring Encasements.
