How do you keep a Telescopic Pole from collapsing when removing a light bulb?

I can screw in a lightbulb with no problem, but when removing a bulb, the pole keeps collapsing.

Answer:

Per the manufacturer, the Telescopic Pole  will collapse if it is not tightened enough therefore make sure to tighten the pole before unscrewing the light bulb.
