We have spoken with Chapin and they stated that the Chapin Stainless Steel Sprayer 2 Gal. (#1253) does not have a way to reduce how much water sprays from the tank. Typically, the more times you hand pump the sprayer, the harder the psi or spray will come out of the nozzle tip. If wanting a lesser psi while spraying, try reducing the number of times you pump the handle to build pressure in the tank,
