How effective could Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide be on gnats and mosquitoes around the lawn/yard?

Answer:

Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide would be effected against either gnats or mosquitoes and is not labeled for either.  For mosquitoes key is treating the underside of leaves on trees/bushes which is where the adults lay during the day, not the lawn.  This can be done with something like Bifen IT.  It can also be used in the yard to kill gnats that contact the treated area.
