How late in the growing season can you successfully apply a pre-emergent herbicide? Is now too late?

Answer:

The question of is it late too now all depends on where you live and what grass you have.  We are located in the South and are not really familiar with other parts of the country.  You should call your local cooperative extension office.  Almost every county has one and they are the experts in your region for all types of problems and local plant and insect life.   They will let you know when the best time of year to treat is depending on what you are trying to control.
