How long after spraying Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate until I start to see the apple tree recover? How long will it take for the tree to make a good recovery after no treatment for 10 years?

I have apple maggots/ beetles in the wood and a variety of fungus on the apple tree branches. We moved to house and the fruit crop has been getting poorer. It is January and we have sprayed once and going to wait another month until we spray again.

Answer:

The Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate should be applied when the tree is not dormant and it is not cold out. It works best when it is actively growing and sprayed at green tip (1/2” blossom bud showing). You should wait 14 days at least between applications. Only two applications per season with this product. You can alternate with Bonide Citrus, Fruit and Nut Orchard Spray Concentrate .  In fact, it can be applied closer to harvest. Another great product that you should implement into your program is the Fruit Tree and Plant Guard Concentrate (this can be applied up to 5 times per season). The timing of recovery will vary depending on your location (climate, etc), insect activity, the treatment program and the health of the tree.
