Rachel from Marshfield Wi writes

How long should I wait to aerate my lawn after applying Ferti-lome Weed Free Zone?

Answer:

It will be important to target weeds that are actively growing with a post-emergent such as Ferti-lome Weed Free Zone before aerating. After 2 weeks from the application of Weed Free Zone, you could then reseed and/or aerate the lawn.  If applying a pre emergent, then you would want to aerate prior to pre-emergent applications so you are not disturbing any chemical barrier and the product reaches the soil prior to weed germination.  Please view our Lawn Care Schedule Calendar for more general timing recommendations.
