How many gallons of CoRoN 18-3-6 Plus 0.5% Fe do I need to treat 1 Acres of tall fescue?

I have 2ac, how many gallons will I need to cover my Fescue yard? Also, How much CoRoN do I put for 40 gal sprayer?

Answer:

The NC State Extension guide for fertilizing tall fescue recommends using 1 lb of Nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft per application, done 3 times per year in February, September, and October. By that recommendation, you would use 67.0 oz of CoRoN 18-3-6 Plus 0.5% Fe per 1,000 sq ft, per application. So to apply to 2 Acres (87,120 sq ft), you would need 5,837 oz of the CoRon, or 19 of the 2.5 gal jugs for 1 application to get 1 lb of N per 1,000 sq ft. You should use at least 2 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft, so you would first need to calibrate how much area your 40 gal sprayer treats at your speed before knowing how much product to use in each tank.
