Pat from Oklahoma writes

How much Basagran T/O Herbicide do I use per gallon of water?

I have 3 acres that is getting infested with yellow nutsedge and I have a 25 gal pull behind lawnmower sprayer. Not sure how much Basagran to buy.

Answer:

Per the Basagran T/O Herbicide Product Label: For yellow nutsedge, apply no more than 0.75 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet (2 pints per acre) at one time. Make a second application 10-14 days later. Apply no more than 1.5 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet (4 pints per acre) in one season.  On average you will use 40-80 gallons of water per acre depending on lawn thickness and weed size/growth stage.
