How much Kocide 3000-O Fungicide/Bactericide would I use to treat 10 Cherry Trees for black spot? What is the amount per tree and are repeat applications needed?

Answer:

Kocide 3000-O Fungicide/Bactericide is labeled for Cherry Leaf Spot (sour cherries only) at the rate of 2.25 - 3.5 lb per acre with a maximum of 60lbs per acre per year. Fungicides with an active ingredient of myclobutanil (Eagle 20EW) or captan (Bondie Captain Fungicide) will protect leaves from infection with cherry leaf spot. To avoid fungicide resistance, alternate between myclobutanil and captan when making repeated fungicide applications Copper Fungicide (Bonide Liquid Copper) has also shown to show some levels of protection against leaf spot infection.
